His chest is painted with runes. Carefully he lights some candles while whispering magic words. Then he sits down on the ground and closes his eyes. Still he whispers and moves his fingers in the air. Deep inside his soul the light starts to burn brighter and brighter until it is released by the magic words. Hours pass while Sevour sits on the ground, reaching out for the everlasting light. Sweat runs down his body, his hair sticks to his head.
Khira waits and feels the temperature in the bubble rising. She starts to sweat as well. In absence she takes off her dress so she sits naked inside the bubble. She feels how Sevours light covers her completely and she sighs. Her body and mind relax and slowly she falls a sleep. Sevour opens his eyes and stands up. Carefully he walks towards the bubble, reaching out to the girl inside. He mumbles and whispers, creating a web of light around her. "What was created shall die, what dies shall return like it was. In the name of the light I take this soul to replace it by another. From water to earth, from darkness into light." He falls down to the ground in exhaustion. The bubble flies down to the floor and disappears together with the light. He gasps for air and looks at what he has done. His eyes wide open when he looks at the naked woman before him. She still sleeps but not for long if he is right. Sevour frowns and looks better, she has changed.
Her skin isn’t ivory anymore but has a warm deep creamy color, like a healthy human. Her black hair is actually deep red when you look at it closely. It shines in the light of the candles.
She looks softer and more feminine. He looks at her face that is so calm. Her lips look moist and soft, inviting him to kiss her. He can’t wait for her to wake up so he can see her eyes.
His hand touches her face and slowly she wakes up, whispering his name. "Sevour?" He smiles. " I am here Khira, open up your eyes love and look at yourself." She starts to cry and reaches out for him. Quickly he grabs her hand. "I am scared Sevour, scared to open up my eyes." He looks at her in surprise, she never showed her emotions like that. " I understand Khira, but I am here for you. You can do it." Slowly her eyes start to open up. Sevour catches his breath when he looks into her eyes. No longer white but real eyes like every other human has. Well, that’s not true, he has never seen eyes that beautiful. Bright violet eyes with gold around the pupil. He sees her warmth, her vulnerability. "What have I done to you Khira?" He shakes his head in disbelieve, this isn’t the cold warrior she needs to be but a warm and kind woman. Her shaking hands touch his face and softly she kisses him. "Thank you Sevour." She smiles and looks at her body. Slowly she stands up and turns around in circles. She laughs out loud. " I feel complete now Sevour. Look at me! I am human." Like a little child she giggles and grabs her dress. She puts it on and then frowns when Sevour doesn’t say anything. "Khira? How are you going to infiltrate the Purple Tear now? Are you capable of killing with no mercy?" He looks up to her. Khira stops smiling. " I am still general Khira and will give my life to protect the colonies. And yes, I am able to kill. My instincts haven’t changed simply because my body and soul have. I am a well trained soldier Sevour, no longer a machine but still I am one of the best in the galaxy. Never ever forget that Sevour and don’t underestimate me anymore." Her violet eyes lost their warmth and the cold that glows now make Sevour shiver. He sees reflections of the old Khira, cold and ruthless. He stands up. " I am going to get dressed. Make yourself at home in the mean time." He turns around and walks away. By the door he looks over his shoulder to look at her. She is more beautiful then before. For one brief moment a strange emotion flows through his body. He smiles when he realizes what it is. He feels sorry for Fer Haggat, because he knows Haggat won’t be able to resist Khira and that will be the end of the Purple Tear. Sevour walks through the door laughing. He can’t wait to see the look on Haggat’s face when Khira kills him.
