The soft sunbeams of this strange morning reveal a landscape once beautiful and filled with life.
Now everything is destroyed, no more green hills, no sounds of birds or the laughter of children.
The whole land is grey and gloomy without happiness or life. Something happened to it a long time ago.
Nobody can remember what it was that destroyed this pure landscape, what slaughtered the human kind and forced the survivors to hide or be slaves.
Nobody can remember the sounds of nature or smell the sweetness of roses. Something happened that dreadful day and now people live in hell waiting for their death, praying for a miracle.
Cries of pain resound through the silence. Soldiers march side by side to the everlasting battle. No living human is in sight. No living animal shows itself. Except for the two figures on top of a hill that once was covert with green grass but now is nothing more then a pile of dirt. Two creatures view this landscape and just stand there. One creature is easy to recognize, the sun shines on her black fur giving it a deep, warm color. Her yellow eyes look around and see that there is no food left for her. She is one of the big panthers from the Caves of Amar. Black as the night, swift as the wind but deadly and dangerous. The person that stands next to her doesn’t seem to notice the beautiful but so dangerous cat that sits beside her. A figure in a silver cloak. The sun shines on that person. The light is reflected in the amulet that hangs around her neck. The amulet starts to glow with a soft green light. A graceful hand reaches up to it and holds it. The other hand grabs the top of the silver cloak and pulls it back revealing a young woman. Her beauty is spoken off her grace is remembered. But her deadly skills are feared. Her bright eyes look sad into the world hiding everything they saw. They are the same color as the magical amulet around her neck, the color of which she owes her name. The fiery color of the jade amulet that can’t be taken off.
" So Xiya, this is my home. At least the place where it was supposed to be." Her clear voice sounds sad as she looks at the dead trees that ones where a forest. " Nice place to call home Shaye. Is this the beautiful landscape you spoke of? Is this what we traveled all this weeks for? Come on Shaye, if you told me it looked like this i would have stayed in my comfortable cave" The spinning sound of a cat is heard. If you were there you would have thought the cat was just spinning and not talking. The woman laughs and strokes the big cat over her head. " I know my friend, nothing much to return to eh? But it is home so let’s see if their are some people left in this neighborhood. Shall we?" Her hand touches her forehead as she makes a sarcastic bow. The greeting of a servant to a member of royalty.
" About time you showed some respect for your superior you fool" with her head lifted in the air with pride the big cat stands up and starts to walk down the hill. She grins and looks behind her to make sure her friend follows. She laughs her salting cat laugh when she sees the woman shaking her head in disbelieve. Gently she puts one paw before the other, trying not to slip down the hill. She mumbles in herself when her paws get dirty from the mud.
" So your royal airness, getting your paws dirty eh? Want me to carry you on my back my queen? Or would that be to low for you?" With an evil grin on her face the woman runs down the hill. Her cloak flutters in the wind, showing the big sword on the left side of the woman. A short sharp knife hangs on her right thigh, kept in place by leather straps that are wrapped around her naked thigh. She doesn’t wear any armor. Just a hard leather top that protects her chest. Long silver pieces of silk hang between her legs giving her freedom for movement and yet giving her a female touch.
