" I am their new leader. Calisto queen of thieves." She laughs sarcastically and stands up. " I am leading them to total annihilation and they follow like little lambs. Something pushed me too the Midlands and now i see you here. Something is waiting to happen and we have just started our quest my friend. But now the question is, what is our quest and how will we discover what to do? The Clan is always willing to help us. We made a network below the cities that are connected to other networks through the world, believe it or not but the normal people accept the Thieves. They realized they needed the Thieves to supply them with stuff and now we are leading them against the forces. Ironic eh? " She giggles and continues. " A woman needed our help one-day. She was hunted down and killed a lot of those strange creatures before we could get through to her. We helped her get out of the city through our network. I will never forget her and she said she needed me and that if the time were right i would come to her. She gave me a ring so i could call her when i needed her. Don’t ask me how but the ring is really magical. Her name was Shaye Jayde and that is all i know, but i am looking for her." She shows Xanthos the ring. A soft green light glows from it. It is a very simple ring, made out of silver and covered by runes. Xanthos recognizes the ring and holds his breath.

" Do you know what kind of ring that is? It ‘s a soulring Cally. My god!" Xanthos looks scared at the silver ring and grabs it gently. The ring starts to glow brighter and brighter.

They are surrounded by green light and slowly a vague image appears from the ring. Calisto screams softly when the shape of a woman appears in front of them. Like a ghost she looks at them. Her body is transparent. She looks at them and smiles. " Don’t be afraid my friends. My name is Shaye Jayde, yes Xanthos a shapeshifter! I noticed you recognized the ring. Well it is not important. I have good news for the moment. We have found the prince and he is in the Midland Undergrounds. I am not there but was wounded in battle but i will join you shortly when i have regain my strength." The woman coughs and her face draws together with pain. " Go to the large mother tree in the center of the Midlands. The ring will guide you. Another man will join you. His name is Kaine. He travels together with a red dragon. I have to go now, this is costing me too much energy. I will contact you later. Take care my friends!" The glow disappears and the woman is gone.

Xanthos and Calisto look at each other. Happy and confused as well. " Well Xanthos i guess we better start moving then." Calisto smiles and grabs the arm of the confused knight. " Get that dumb look of your face and start moving. We have to go to the center of the Midlands and we have a long way to go. So grab your stuff and let’s go!" She walks to the horse and waits for the knight. He mumbles while picking up his stuff and sounds irritated. Calisto smiles and inside she is happy she isn’t alone on this journey. He may be a big ox, but he is a good man. Inside she is glad he is there with her. So much is going to happen and they don’t know if they will survive. Finally they are on their way, off to an unknown adventure. They ride in silence both alone in their mind but together in strength. Two warriors with one goal. To save this world from an unknown terror, but at least they have eachother.
