Nivek is over 900 years old.. he has done much traveling in that time and spend many years in the land of his birth, Ireland.  On the most recent of these sojourns, he stayed in the same inn along the coast of Dun Loighaire (pronounced dun leary). The innkeepers, whom he only knew, at thier insistance,  as Ma and Pa, became his friends, then quickly his family. he had the good fortune to be there when thier daughter was born.. and he became completely enamoured with the little one.. spoiling her rotten as she grew.. he would go on his day trips and return to the inn, his heart swelling with pride as she ran to him with a squeel. "Unka N'vek!!" she would cry and leap into his arms hugging him tightly. Needless to say the little one was the one bright spot in his life. His heart broke when he had to leave again , saying goodbye to those he had learned to love.

A couple years passed before he again had the chance to travel to the Inn. to his surprise, when he entered, a beautiful 5 year old girl came flying into his arms with a squeel. "Unka N'vek! your Home!!" He almost fell over with the force of the hug, coupled with surprise that she had remembered him so clearly.  Speaking to Ma and Pa, he found the 3 of them spoke of him often and fondly.. and she slept with his picture by her on the nightstand.. This thrilled him as he thot as often of her, his neice of no relation other then the hearts bonding..

He stayed almost a year this time round, spending much of the time with the family, playing with the little girl and her older friend, who was staying there with her parents.  He took them on many a daytrip with him, enjoying thier delight as he showed them the wonders of the Homeland. it was on one such trip that disaster struck, while he and the girls were picnicing down at the boat launch, thieves broke into the in and took everything, including the life of the innkeepers and the other girls parents,  stealing everything of value before burning the cottage to the ground and making thier escape. Nivek and the girls heard the comotion and hurried home, only to find all to be destroyed.  As he comforted them the best he could while dealing with his own grief and thots of revenge, it was asked what would become of the girls. Without a second thot he replied, "Lessa and Delilah will live with me."

He left Ireland soon after, taking the girls with him to the US. They have called him Brother for many years now, tho he is the only father they have ever truely known.  He raised them well, and they have grown into truely beautiful ladies, of whom he is very proud.
