General Policies :
- NO BOTS are allowed in the channels without agreements with the Managers.
All foreign bots and its host sites will be banned.
- All individuals involved with
- channel takeover
- running flood bots
- excessive beeping and CAPsing
- public/ctcp/topic flooding
- changing channel mode to +k/+l/+m that will distrupt the channel
- mass op/deop
- denial of service (DoS) attack (nuking).
Nuker(s) will be reported to appropriate authority in the channels will be banned.
- We suggest that you ignore such person and do not provoke or react to any
annoying behavior. Do "/ignore nickname all" to totally ignore that person.
- Excessive vulgarity will not be tolerated. We will revoke op access and/or ban the individual and possibly his/her host site. The definition of "excessive" is solely on the discretion of the Managers.
- No advertisement through private message, notice, topic or invite.
- No excessive public advertisement.
- Please use common sense and courtesy.
- Try not to be mean to each other.
Additional Policies for OPs :
- All general policy above is applied.
- If you abuse your op access, your access will be revoked. The definition of "abuse" is solely on the discretion of the Managers.
- Ban/kick is not encouraged. If you don't like a particular person use "/ignore [nickname] all". We suggest that you ignore such person and do not provoke or react to any annoying behavior.
- If you think a particular person is very annoying to the channel. First, give that person a warning. Then if there is no change, kick that person out. If that person still does not change, then you may ban him/her.
- X op access - By admin only. Please don't bother to ask in main. Just mail to [email protected] whenever there's open to everyone.
The purpose of giving op access to people who apply
for it is not to deputized them as a channel police or expect
them to become a channel police. It is in #sunway opinion
that op(@) should be shared when it is possible. By giving the
op privilage people can be somewhat a responsible channel
user. This will base on the admin opinion whether you are
entitled to be op(@) or not.
