  • Cyaena was named as the new Treasurer. Please offer her your congratulations when you see her online.
  • It came as a surprise to us officers last night at our meeting, but it appears we are NOT omnipotent, yep…surprised all of us too. As a result of discussions the rules surrounding new member minimum requirements are being modified. Spouses of members are to be eligible for guild membership at level 15. If however a divorce occurs before the spouse reaches level 20 that spouse will be disbanded from the guild and may reapply upon reaching level 20 under the normal guild guidelines. Additionally, all spouses who apply for membership will be subject to the same application procedures and probationary period as any other applicant.
  • At last nights officer meeting a great deal of time was devoted to discussing guild events. There are a number of them under consideration and all of them will take further development. They break down as follows:
    • A very large, server wide, scavenger-hunt. This looks like a fun and promising idea. The key guild members in charge of this event will be Turaloyn and Krystian, though it will take assistance from the entire guild.
    • A guild war, with a RP aspect. Again this one will take a lot of effort to pull off but some good ideas are being kicked around including a kidnapping and rescue attempt. Plans are for Lacey and Kenerilie to develop this one but that has not been formalized yet (if this is your first indication of this Kenerilie please contact Trevize or myself).
    • A drunken newbie race from West Freeport, to East Freeport, North Ro, East Commons, and back to West Freeport again. I am working on that one myself and would appreciate any help you can provide.
  • In an attempt to encourage guild participation and interaction a system of Guild Tasking is going to be implemented under the direction of Trevize. In a methodical manner each and every guild member will be given tasks to complete for the guild. Most of these will consist of gathering items for the guild bank accounts and will be assigned with the idea that the tasked member put together a group of guild members to accomplish the task. All tasks will have a 2-week deadline from the time of the assignment and the tasked member, no mater his/her level, is to be the group leader for the task. These tasks may NOT be delegated to others but they may form whatever group they wish to accomplish their task with the following restriction; the group can only consist of AV members.
    • These tasks will be posted on the webpage at http://welcome.to/arcanevalor along with any accompanying information so check the webpage regularly people. These will be mandatory tasks and is the price of guild membership but the idea is to make it fun. If for any reason you have a problem with the task assignment or completion contact an officer or Trevize for assistance.
  • It has been decided to offer Vxaviee Darkheart an invitation to join the guild. We simply await his email to Trevize to formalize the process before making the offer. If you have anyone you wish considered for membership please contact any of the officers.
