                                                        Balamour`s History
Balamour is originally from the Gnarley Forest, where he grew up in the village of Corustaith, a woodland village of around 50 cabins and huts inside a palisaded wall. A Decanter of Endless Water powers a mill and supplies freshwater to the village.
Balamour lived with his mother (Karyn) and father (Balthor), and an older brother (Seth).
 A band of hill giants and orcs attacked the village, and while Balthor put up a valiant fight and helped save the village, a stray arrow pierced his heart and caused instant death.
Balamour's mother moved him and his brother to Greyhawk City within the year.
When Seth arrived at greyhawk, he joined the Greyhawk militia. Seth was gone for long periods of time patrolling the lands around Greyhawk, which left Balamour and his mother pretty much on there own. Karyn got work at the Whitehorse Inn in the Old Thieves Quarter near the corner of Assassin's End and The Processional. She works as a cook/waitress/housekeeper, and has been their nearly 10 years now. Balamour just kept too himself and tried to stay out of trouble.
There were three life shaping events that occurred in Balamour's life. The first was his Father getting killed, the next was a trip to the Annual Fair during Growfest Week when the family first moved to Greyhawk. When at the fair Karyn took Balamour to a rune reader. The women drew five runes to see what the boys future might hold. The runes she drew represented Strength, Protection, Movement, Journey, and Warrior. Balamour blew off the whole thing as nonsense until nearly a year later.
While playing outside the city he found a badly hurt man. Balamour ran and got his mother, they ended up taking Stryder into their home and nursing him back to health. The strange thing was that my mother fell in love with him and married him a few months later. Stryder is the third life changing force that Balamour encountered. Stryder was a vast experienced ranger and adventurer. He told Balamour stories of grand adventure and narrow escapes. The life of traveling all over the Flanaess and the wonders he had seen.
Stryder then spent the next few years training Balamour in the ways of the two handed fighting Short Sword and, the long Sword also the Long bow! Karyn was not at all happy with this at first, after all she all ready had one son tromping around the lands of Greyhawk risking life and limb everyday.
But it soon sank in that Balamour wanted to learn the ways of a ranger,
and take revenge for his father's death. And she and stryder could also see that balamour was going to be a great ranger. And they both felt deep inside that his name would be a name that bards would sing about. He will be know through out greyhawk someday he will be a great man. His name will bring evil and injustice to its knees.
I have a personal quest to destroy the giants and orcs who killed my father and recover his magical elfin chain mail and his magical long sword.
