Occupation/Rank:
Dragonrider/WeyrLeader
Dragon Name:
Bronze Sevanenenth
Dragon Color:
Mother/Father:
Rhyn, Weyrwoman of Eastern Weyr/Ch'ven, Wingleader at Eastern Weyr
Physical Appearance:
Nearly 6 Feet Tall. Like his sister, J'narid has black hair, which he usually
keeps cut at shoulder-length to fit under the riding helmet. His eyes are
very dark green, seeming to be almost black at times and due to the sun
down south, his skin is dark.
He's nearly six feet tall and has been far luckier with his looks than
Chianor; it wouldn`t be an exaggeration to say that he's 'drop dead
gorgeous'
History:
Due to the fact that their parents hadn't the time to raise children,
J'narid and his twinsister were fostered by their uncle and his wife, who
lived in a small Hold not so far from the sea.
But as they got older and spent less time together than before, he used
more and more of his spare time talking with the pod of dolphins which had
their territory in the sea outside the Hold or talked with the watchdragon
and its rider.
So when Chianor left for the Harperhall in the north, it wasn't really
anything that kept J'narid from leaving the Hold, and it was just what he
did.
Since he wanted to see more of Pern than just his home, he joined a group
of wandering traders, who doubtfully allowed him to come with them.
And over a year later, when the traders happened to pass by one of the
cotholds beholden to Eastern Weyr, J'narid heard that his sister had
returned to stand as a candidate at the Weyr's next Hatching.
Wanting to meet his sister again, J'narid headed for the Weyr, but wasn't
able to reach it until moments before the Hatching began, and then
his sister was already standing on the Sands.
Though J'narid knew that it would get him into trouble, he found the
corridor that would lead him to the Hatching ground and hurried towards it
before anyone could stop him.
But before he could congratulate his twin for Impressing a brown, it was a
bronze who demanded his attention, and he couldn't do anything but accept
its choice.
In the years since then J'narid and his sister became better friends
than they ever were before, partly thanks to their dragons, who seem
inseperable.
When hearing about SilverSmoke Weyr, J'narid and Chianor instantly seized
the opportunity, and went there as soon as they got permission from the
Weyrleader at eastern.
Personality:
Though not as intense and outgoing as his sister, J'narid has
an almost uncanny sense of what people are feeling, which clearly is an
asset when dealing with Holdfolk. Even if he is a calm person who isn't
easy to get angry, it's best to keep far out of his way on the rare
occasions when he does.
Having never really expected to become a dragonrider and definitely not of a
bronze, it still happens that he feels a little inadequate sometimes,
despite knowing that he does his best.
