Physical Appearance: When seeing Raven's black hair, dark brown eyes and dark skin, it isn't hard to imagine how she got her name. She has been luckier with her looks than her sister, Sh'nea, but due to her rather 'sharp' nose and slightly gaunt features, she cannot be said to be a beauty. Her hair is slightly curled and she keeps it shoulder length in 'dragonrider style', and if one takes a close look, it's also possible to see a few rusty-brown hairs among all the black.

Background: Raven grew up at one of the Holds beholden to Silversmoke Weyr. Fifteen turns old, she decided that she wanted to become a Harper, and started training despite that her musical talent was virtually nonexistent, to the annoyance of the Harper stationed at the Hold. Luckily for that Harper, he didn`t have to listen to her for so long as he soon was called back to the Harper Hall. And when her younger sister Shannea Impressed a green dragon, becoming Sh`nea, Raven suddenly got a new interest entering her life. But she knew that in order to Impress a dragon, she had to be Searched, so while waiting and hoping for that to happen, she concentrated on increasing her knowledge about just about everything and to learn a little more about dragons, she managed to get her hands on a fire-lizard egg, from which golden Trill emerged. So when the day she had dreamed about finally came, and Sh`nea`s green unexpectedly searched Raven when they were on a visit to the Hold, Raven was overjoyed. That they went /between/ to the sixteenth Pass was a major shock to the normally so pragmatic girl, but despite that she regrets that she will never be able to see her friends and family again, she views the accident as a great opportunity to learn. Though she also looks forwards to standing at the Sands as a candidate. When the time came for the Hatching, a little blue dragonet by the name of Heresith approached her and they became lifemates.

Personality: Raven is an incredible calm person who is almost impossible to get angry. She is sensible about everything, almost to the point that she`s boring, and she always is polite towards everyone whether she likes them or not. One of the rare persons who never really feels comfortable without constantly having something to do, she is often seen in the lower caverns helping the drudges or in the Weyrs still almost empty Archive. She have an incredible facination for dragons, and may sometimes even drive them away with her many questions and her attempts to find out how they are able to do what they do.
