For those of you who know I am Wiccan, you probably know why I'm doing this. For those of you who are just finding out, SURPRISE!
People have asked me why I have chosen to walk this road and follow these beliefs. The main reason is that Wicca for me contains all the ideals an value that I try to live by. No one is perfect, but you should have some sort of path to follow.
I was baptized a Catholic. However, my mom happened to be a very open-minded person, and thought it best for her daughter to make her own decisions regarding what religion to follow and practice. In order for me to make an educated decision as to which one, I'd have to learn about what is available out in the wide world to choose from. She tried very hard to inform me of all the religions and what their belief system was. That way, when I was old enough, I could make the personal choice.
However, my mom was really only able to teach me about the conventional religions. I was continually drawn ro books on witchcraft from a young age. Luckily for me, my mom never tried to stop me from reading these books. It wasn't until November of 1998 that I officially decided that this path was what fit me, and me it.
So far, I have felt a peace and safety that I haven't felt in some time. Quite a fe people have commented that I now seem more "grounded" though this may also be atrributed to me maturing as I get older. This religion, and all it's acceptability, has definetly had a positive impact on my life.
Because of this, I wanted t prove as much information as I could to my family and friends about the religion I have choosen as best for me. Many in my family don't know about Wicca, and quite a few of them will be upset to find out this is who and what I am. To them, I ask only that you read on and I am sure you will see that this is not a path of destruction, I am not under the "forces of evil" and the I will not go to hell. The religion I now follow is one of harmony and peace with the Mother Earth and with everyone that walks upon her.
These pages in particular will be under a constant state of construction. I am doing this to provide information and to honor the Goddess and the God. Enter into these pages with an open mind, and a willing heart. Thanks, and blessed be.
