    Of geaunts not, O' I do speak,

these creatures of the night;

to wait all day with longing gauren,

thi will spy them not by light.

    With frenetik search, to seek and find,

a gaude on you is play;

fro roof to root, a whisper call,

tis magic, so they say.

    Please listen close, now reader dear,

with leyt so dim and low;

On midsummer's night a chance to see

wee folk do gadren you know.

    ...mist the dance of the fairye.
