ToC RPG: Fire in the Soul

Players: Hoshi, Skye,
Tatyana, Alixa

Tatyana sat sidesaddle on her
horse. Next to her was Skye, the
first Senshi that Tatyana had been able to awaken. They were on the road to
Panya. Tatyana had head rumors that there was a girl there that was
senshi material. They were only 5 minutes out of the city and already
there were signs for an upcoming kickboxing match. "I hope I'm not
wrong."
"Do we know what the
next senshi looks like?" Skye asked. She was
riding her own horse next to Tatyana. Skye had only
found out yesterday that
she was Sailor Mokina. She smirked at the memory. "How do you know
if
you've got the right person?"
"The moment I've decided
that they are truly a Senshi or Knight
their transformation stick will appear before me." Tatyana said and
looked around. "The stick won't appear if the person isn't a true
senshi."
"Interest..." Skye
said as they made their way into the village
and down the streets.
Hoshi jumped from foot to foot,
swinging at the air as she awaited
the kickboxing match. Her father sat farther away, watching his
daughter.
Hoshi did a few quicks, then tossed her gloves
off and walked over to her
dad. He handed her a glass of water, and she drank it.
"You're gonna win
this tournament and make your mother proud." Dimitri said gravely. Hoshi
nodded slowly, and slipped her gloves back on.
"It starts in fifteen
minutes." She said.
Tatyana looked around. Something in
her heart told her that the
next sneshi was close. She frowned and glanced around. She stopped a woman on
the street, "Excuse me, Why is everyone heading towards the square?"
"There's going to be a
kickboxing match in about 15 minutes." The
woman said and left, jogging ahead.
Tatyana looked at Syke and spoke
very low, "Call me Tatyana here.
Or we may never find all the senshi understand?"
Syke nodded and hey moved forward
silently. The reached the square
and syke stodded her horse, staying close to Tatyana, and not entirly by
choice.
The square was filling. Syke closed her eyes
and took a deep breath.
She didn't have much luck with squares. "not long now I guess."
Hoshi bounced about, standing on the
outside of the ring. It was
just made of dirt, and it was on a two foot tall platform. There was a white
circle drawn around it to show where the crowd stopped at to show the place where
if the boxed is knocked out, they lose. She looked across the platform at
her competetor, a girl not much older than herself, named Kirei.
"She has a
reputation for cheating, remember that Hoshi. Don't
let your temper get the better of you, all right?" Her father placed his
hands on her shoulders.
"Don't
worry, she won't win, even if she cheats. I'm better than
her and she knows it, but it's sad she has to stoop to the level of
cheating. She might be good if she practiced more." Hoshi said
matter-of-factly,
and her father smiled.
"Five
mintues!" The announcer called.
Syke heard a small cheer go up and she
turned her eyes to the
platform.She frowned and looked to the Princess, she meantal corrected
herself
and then looked around. She nodded to herself and turned to Tatyana, "Lets
tie up the horses." She lead the way and soon the horses were tied to a rail.
Tatyana grabbed onto Syke shirt as she
lead the way to a small
seating area. She sat down right next to Syke and looked around, but just then the
bell rang and the fight began. She smiled but then frowned, she
realized
that she hated fighting.
Alixa moved through the crowd. She had
her eyes on the girl on the
platform. She knew that the young girl was her
target. She had been paid to
take this girl out by someone with money. She planed to do it too.
Hoshi levelled her eyes
with Kirei, a slightly wicked look in her
eyes. They tapped gloves, and Hoshi put up a defensive
stance.
"Don't even try,
you're to weak and stupid to beat me." Kirei
sneered, rushing forward and throwing a punch into Hoshi's
stomach, then
uppercutting the red-headed girl. Hoshi stepped
backwards, shaking her head a bit.
"Do you talk about
yourself like that often?" She asked sweetly,
then threw right after left after right at Kirei's head, chest, and
stomach. Kirei covered her upper body and staggered backwards, then lowered to the
ground and kicked out at Hoshi's feet. Hoshi hit the ground and
looked up,
dazed. Kirei looked down at her, wiping the blood from her face.
"Stupid
child..." Kirei muttered, and drew her foot up over
Hoshi's face.
Tatyana hid her head in Syke's shoulder and
only peeked out. Sudenly
her eyes went wide as the girl on the ground had a sudden red aurora
around her. Tayana gasped and she coulld feel the transformation stick form in
her hand. "Sailor Phebos..." she whispered.
"Tatyana?" Syke asked, She raised an
eyebrow and looked at the girl
next to her.
"Don't you see it? The aurora? She's
Phebos, another senshi." Tatyana
whispered and bounced in her seat.
"Aurora? No, I don't see it." Syke
said and looked at the girl n the
ground. She frowned and then balled her fists.
"I don't see it but I believe
you that it's there. That other girl better not hurt her..."
Alixa smiled as she lifted her bow. She aimed
it right at the young
red her on the ground. she smiled and pulled back. She let the arrow fly and
then cursed as it just missed Hoshi's head.
Hoshi groaned and her vision
cleared. She gasped and grabbed
Kirei's foot, pushing back with all her might. Kirei stumbled and fell onto
her back, and Hoshi sat up.
"Whoa!" She yelled
as an arrow just whizzed by her head. Hoshi
ducked and looked through the crowd to see who had shot the arrow.
"Hoshi! Are you all
right!" Dimitri cried, running into the ring.
"Dad stay back!"
Hoshi yelled.
"Did you see that?" Syke said and looked
around. She saw a glint of
light and spotted an elf on a roof top. She sneared and looked to Tatyana.
"Take cover Tatyana."
Tatyana opened her mouth to protest but nodded after
a moment. She
jumped up and moved off, towards the ring. She would have o get the
transformation stick to Hoshi. "Hoshi!"
"Aqua Star Power, Make UP!" Syke called and
her wand flashed. She was
covered by her fuku (duelist) uniform and she
growled. She lifted her
hands and tried to gather her power, but nothing happened. she
realized
suddenly that the area was magic free. She couldn't use her magic here.
"Oh
Well." Syke said and ran to the building, climbing to the roof.
"Get outta
here Alixa!"
Alixa smiled and lifted the arrow again. She aimed it
right at the
senshi's traveling comanion. "Would you like to have your
friend dead?"
"NO!" Syke said and watched as the princess
raced for the platform.
Syke watched with horro and then dove on the elf. She saw the arrow leave
the bow but she didn't see where it hit.
Hoshi looked up at the
purple-haired girl who had ran onto the
platform. She stood up and started to run over to her.
"What the hell is-" Hoshi
stopped in her tracks as she saw the arrow pierce her dad's
chest.
"DAD!!!" She screamed,
and tore past the princess to where her
father lay. Hoshi looked over the place where the arrow had hit, and touched
the arrow's shaft. Dimitri moaned and she pulled her hand back.
"H-Hoshi.... " He said
quietly.
"Daddy don't talk." Hoshi
sobbed, and turned to look up at the
princess. "Please...help.." She sniffled, holding her
dad's head in her arms.
Tatyana gasped and closed her eyes. She knelt and
looked at Hoshi. She
held out the transformation stick and let Hoshi take it.
"Go, help Syke.
I'll do what I can." Tatyana let her hands fall to the man and she closed her
eyes, praying softly. As small ball of light created under her hands.
Tatyana's long red princess dress shimmered into a transparent appearance, there,
but not quite.
Alixa cursed and turned to Syke. "yuo magic can't work
here but mine
can!"
She laughed and gathered a small ball.
Hoshi turned the small stick over in her
hands, then clenched it
tight between her fists. She turned and glared up at the roof top that Skye
and Alixa were fighting on. She looked back at her father, then darted
towards the building, climbing towards the roof. Hoshi stood for a second,
hiding from Alixa and Skye. She looked at the transformation stick, feeling a
bit weird and more powerful. She closed her eyes and help the stick close,
feeling the power surge into her.
"Fire Star Power, Make-UP!!"
Flames licked around her, and Sailor
Phebos stepped out from her hiding spot and looked at Alixa. Her eyes
flashed
with fire, and her voice was sharp. "I don't know what the hell you
think you're doing in my home town,
and I don't care. You hurt my father you elven whore, and for that you will
be
punished."
"Ho Ho ho," Alixa laughed sarcastically, She seperated
the ball and
threw it at the two girls. "Think you can beat me!"
Syke dove out of the way and the grumbled. She looked down at the
Princess and gasped. She then gritted her teeth and took up a fighting
stance.
Phebos ducked and rolled, then bounced back up
to her feet. "I don't
think, I know." She smirked. Phebos closed her eyes and brought
her hands
together. "Fire..... CANNON!" She yelled, and a ball of fire
rolled
towards Alixa. Phebos stumbled back a bit, and shook her head with suprise.
"Well
that's new..." She muttered.
Alixa shifted her feet to avoid the attack. She wasn't fast enough
though. The attack grazed her side. "Shit." Shaking her head She
smiled and
jumped off the roof, landing on the near by platform. She smiled as she saw the
girl. she suddenly saw the girl enveloped in the Princesses dress and
her
evil smile deepened. She lifted her hands and aimed for the Princess.
She
looked over her shoulder at the two, "Say goodbye to your
princess." She
let the ball fly.
"NO!!" Syke yelled and raced forward. She couldn't let the
Princess get
hurt. "TATYANA!!"
Tatyana heard Syke's call and she slowly opened her eyes. The greenness
shimmered and flashed blue. Her red dress appeared around her and she
saw
the ball of dark energy coming ar her. She closed her eyes and cover
Hoshi's father. The ball hit her and there was a lash of white. When it
finished.
Alixa was thrown back and Tatyana was once again herself., only she was
very badly beaten up.
Syke detransfromed and rushed to the princesses side. "Tatyana!
Please!
Wake up!"
Alixa stumbled to her feet and grabbed her shoulder. The fight was not
worth it. She call to her horse, mounted and raced away.
Phebos jumped off of the building and watched Alixa
run off, then she
went to her father and kneeled down by him. She let her hand waver over
his face. Phebos stood up, detransformed, and pulled the arrow out of
his
chest. Hoshi looked at Skye and Tatyana.
Syke looked at Hoshi then to hoshi's father. she dropped her head and
looked at Tatyana. She sighed and smiled gently at Hoshi. "Welcome to
the
pack. I'm Syke, It's really nice to meet you. I'm Sailor Mokina, senshi of
water."
Tatyana laid quietly, listening to the world around her. She remembered
Syke yelling at her and then nothing. She didn't understand why she
could hear
Syke talk but couldn't see her. Tatyana groaned and opened her eyes. She
sat up slowly and smiled at the others. She saw hoshi's father
and made a
face. She closed her hands together and said a small prayer, hoping a
goddess
would heal the man.
Hoshi looked at Skye and smiled. "I'm Kinzoku Hoshi.
Uh.... " She
didn't know how to finish, so she bent down and lifted her father up and supported
him. "The wound has closed, but he's lost a lot of blood. I need to get him
home so he can rest." Hoshi grunted as she kept her dad upright.
Syke nodded and moved to help Hoshi. She lifted his legs and looked to
Tatyana, "Princess, please. Stay close by, Alixa might return." Syke
turned
her head to looked back at Hoshi. "You lead the way to your house and I'll
help you from there."
Tatyana shuddered and followed Hoshi and Syke. She knew a little about a
healers speel but didn't think she'd be of much help, like always. Once
they were at hoshi's home and had Hoshi's father in bed Tatyana introduced
herself. "I'm Aiko Tatyana, also known as Royal Princess Aikinoa Athena.
The dark forces, knows as the Aglos have begun to take over our planet and I've
decided that I must awaken the 6 senshi and knights of legend. You are
Sailor Phebos, the senshi of fire. It would be a great honor if you would
join us and help us fight."
"Basicly, We need your help and we want to know if you'll join us?" Syke
said and shook her head at Tatyana's speech, smiling inwardly.
Hoshi's eyes widened. "Really?! I'm a uh, soldier
person!?" She squealed
happily, momentarily forgetting her father. "Yes! I will!" Hoshi clapped,
then jumped and caught her father before he fell. "Let's get to my house."
**Hoshi's House**
Hoshi sat on the edge of the couch her father was on. She placed
her
hand over his. "I'd gladly join you, to kill that girl who wounded my
father."
Hoshi looked at Tatyana. "Is he going to die?" She asked quietly.
"No, he should be fine." Tatyana said and smiled. "After a goodnights
sleep
he should be good as knew."
Hoshi nodded, and looked at her father. *Don't worry Daddy. I'm going
to
get the girl who did this to you, so don't worry.* She thought, and kissed
his forehead.
