without trying. He also gets tounge tied around girls (excpet his sister), espically cute ones.

Personality: Ruka is very devoted to his cause, which first and formost is better understanding the
universe and the laws that govern it. He is as a person very shy and reclusive, unless he is with his
sister or is discussing something scientific. The only time he gets really enraged is when someone
tries to tell him magic is better or when someone messes up his lab. He'd like to find a girlfriend,
but alas, he kinda gets toung-tied around them and usually ends up making a fool of himself. He
also refuses to have magical treatments for his condition.
Ruka doesn't like being a memeber of the Aglos much because he feels like all they want him to
do is produce better weapons and armors and such. He wants to do more and tries to do so
during his spare time.
Appearance: Ruka is about medium build with bluish hair and dark blues eyes to match. He has
trouble standing up and walking for long distances. This has become worse as time has
progressed. He is generally seen running around in his labcoat, which has many stains on it and
now looks more black than white.

History: Ruka's mother was a mistress to the same noble man as Alhana's mother. When he was
born though, she was sent away so that everyone would think the baby was his wife's. Ruka was
borne with a rare condition that slowly eats away at his strength and stamina over time. This also
caused him to get sick easily. He was sent to the greatest Healers in the land to help him, but they
could do little. As he grew older it was evident how bad his condition was as he couldn't play
with the other kids, he had trouble walking around town and had to be monitored at all times. So
instead of studying to be a knight or something, Ruka studyed books. He leaned a lot this way
and became fascinated with math and science.
As time progressed he learned more and more, Then, at age 13, his father became gravely ill and
nearly died. In what he thought to be his deathbed, his father told him about another daughter he
had with a slave woman who his wife sent away. Ruka sought her out and eventually found her
so he bought her out of slavery, though it was too late to save her mother. They traveled back to
the house where he found his dad laying in agonisizing pain and burned the house down as his
father wished, with him in it.
When Hellion confronted the two, Alhana and Ruka, Ruka didn't want to join, but was convinced
by his sister. He couldn't say no to her. He couldn't go out and fight like his sister or anyone else
though, but Hellion saw his genius and set him up to develope new weapons and devices to
oppose his enimies.
Special Note: Ruka is currently working on a formula for 'blastpowder'. He has also discovered a
radioactive metal 'Tyridium', though research on this item is limited do to current technology
level.
