No Title

 A heart full of despair
 A heart the likes Moliere
 I'm doing everything all wrong
 Oh God, for shame
You do not even know my name
 I shall not prolong
My name is Westley and nothing more

To the forests and mountain I swore
My heart will always be full of light
Darkness and evil I will deplore
Stand as the old glorious Knights

 Do not mistaken me
For I am a bel esprit
 I will assist the weak
 But not those of diablerie

 West, my friends prefer
And the same if you concur
 Westley is proper
For that is my name forever

  -Westley, Squire to Lady Flower

I wrote this to the Legendary Times after playing West for several weeks encountering questions and curiosity -- to put it mildly -- about the name. Although the name is not unusual in our everyday lives, as I have often see people with the last name, it aroused the people of Legend. So I decided to write something to justify the name. By this time I was already a squire for Lady Flower so besides an explanation of the name West, I wanted to let everyone I was a squire. Of course you can see that I mangled Wesley into Westley, but it was close enough for me. I entered this name at the creation menu for no particular reason. Normally, all my characters come from somewhere RL, either it is from a book, from a movie, from a real person, or someone somewhere, but this time I just entered the first thing that came to my mind and tried to compensate for it later on.
Sometimes I do wonder if I would have taken the same path if I had not choosen the name West. I know for certain that I would have not written to the Legendary Times which got me started submitting articles on a bi-weekly basis for a little while. Most likely, few would have taken note of the name and most importantly, it is easy to remember. By now, I've developed the habit of creating characters with 4 letter names. After writing this poem, I never used the name Westley again.
