Ryu starred in one of the most sucessful NES series ever. Ninja Gaiden by Temco was one of the first games to spell out a story in rich cinematic presentations. Ryu was after some person who had killed his father. Though Ryu has nearly no following now, he still is cute (just haven't gotten a shot of him with his mask off, though I had a magazine full of them, which was lost! ~groan~), trust me on this.
