CHAPTER 1
THE END OF TARINAN
Nearly 700 years ago in the time of myth and legend there stood a man with long black hair and a heart of steal, Arkane was the great warriors name. He fought to save people from the great wars of Salazar. Many years ago I Gethsar, Arkane's son set off with my father on many journeys. Now I want to share the many great odysseys with you. We shall begin: Arkane was the lead soldier for king Hoth ruler of Salazar. Arkane was given a mission to set out and destroy the great wizard, Tarinan. When Arkane reached the forbidden castle of Tarinan. Tarinan was waiting. Tarinan took Arkane prisoner. Arkane tried to get away but Tarinan's magic was to powerful for him. Tarinan turned Arkane into a vile creature. Now Arkane is going to seek revenge on Tarinan. Arkane jumped into a near-by sewer so nobody would Know where is was. He devised an unpredictable plan to take over Tarinan. His plan was to go back to Salazar and regroup with his colleagues, but when he walked in the door everyone was scared to death, and I mean that literally. None of his friends new that it was Arkane. Everyone was running around screaming and yelling "Monster, monster!!" Arkane saw me crying in a corner because my father, Arkane had been captured. I didn't know that the minotaur was my father that had escaped from Tarinan. Arkane came over to me and said "Come with me." "Why?" "Because I know your father." "You know my father Arkane?" I said with happiness. "What is your name?" I asked. "I can not tell you, just please come come with me." said Arkane sadly, because he new that I did not know he was my father. "I will come with you." After a long night they set off for Tarinans castle. They stopped at a small shop. Arkane didn't go in because of what he looked like. I went in. Inside there was many things, swords, knifes, bow and arrows, but what caught my eye was a magnificent sword, thought to be magic. I bought it with what little money I had, I also bought a cross-bow for the creature waiting outside. When finished the creature and I set off again. The first thing we came to was a green, disgusting swamp, we had to cross. You could hear the mud bubble as you walked through. We stayed together just in case something was to happen to either of us. "Look out!" I yelled as a 35 foot long anaconda pulled the mighty Arkane under. I pulled out the magical sword and started chopping away at the polluted water. I hoped not to hit the vile creature. Arkane came up. The anaconda was dead! "Thanks son!" "Father!" I said with amazement. "Yes." "How?, who?, what?" I asked very confused. "It's a long story." Night came soon, Arkane and I sat around the camp fire and my father told me everything. That night I gave my father the magic sword. Early the next morning we set off again for Tarinan's castle. we came to a forest wall. "This must be the Forest of Death." I said. "They saaay that this forest is so thickkkk that when you walk in you can't find your way outttt!" said Arkane with fear. They walked in very slowly. "What is that?" I asked. There was a very thin looking tree with a light shining upon it. Arkane pulled out the magic sword that I gave him and struck the barkless tree. Pieces of the tree went everywhere. Out fell an ax. "This is the magic ax that has never been found!!" I said very glad. "Yes, this is our ticket out of here." With the ax we chopped tree after tree after tree. Until we made it out. We both were so happy. Arkane gave me the magic ax to use in case of danger on the long journey ahead. That night we both went to sleep very quickly. We awoke very early the next morning, and set off for the castle. We got to the castle, but in our way on the old molded bridge to Tarinans castle was an enormous triclydius (or three headed dragon) We didn't know what to do. I thought of something that we could do. We could chop down the bridge and have the dragon plunge to its death. We tried it and it worked, the only problem was now we couldn't get across. There was a near-by tree. I pulled out the magic ax and started chopping away at the tree. The tree fell and we walked across. We walked inside the castle. There was a stair case that went around and around and around all the way up to the ceiling where there was a door. We walked up the flight of stairs and came to the door. Inside there was Tarinan. I went in the door. Tarinan turned around with his long gray hair and short stubby nose. Without thinking I tossed my ax with much power and anger. The ax went through Tarinan's black, hatred heart and killed him instantly. The spell had been broken and Tarinan had turned to ashes. Arkane was transformed back into his physical self, but his heart would be changed forever.
