The Sichi-go-san or Seven-five-three Festival is held on November 15th in Japan. Children will visit a Shinto shrine at the age of three and again at five (for boys only) or seven (for the girls). After praying for good health and future blessings, they receive chitose-ame or Many years hard candy, in the forms of sticks.

The Creation, according to the Bible, took six days, with oneday to rest. The Roman Catholic Church also has seven sacramentsthat everyone must participate in. These sacraments are Baptism, Penance/Reconciliation, The Eucharist, Confirmation, Matrimony, Holy Orders, and Extremunction. The church also has Seven Deadly Sins and their counterparts; they are as follows: pride and humility, avarice/greed and generosity, envy and love, wrath/anger and kindnesslust and self control, gluttony and faith/temperance, sloth and zeal.

The Seven Gods of Luck, called the Sichi Fujukin, are Benten, Bishamon, Daikoku, Ebisu, Fukurokuju, Hotei, and Jurojin. They are prayed to during the Japanese new Year. These seven can be seen on a boat called Takara-Bune.

Each of the Seven Sages brought civilaziation to cities in Mesopotamia.

The Abgal are seven sumerian wise men. Enki is the god that they attend. When portrayed, the look like fish-men who came from the river Apsu.

In Fushigi Yuugi, Miaka, Suzaku no Miko, has Seven Seishi that protect her and are needed to call their god, Suzaku. Each of the seven have a special power and a place with Miaka. Hotohori is the emperor,

Tamahome her protector. Tasuki is the hot headed bandit while Nuriko is a cross-dressing strong man. Chiriri has magic abilities, Chiroko is smart and Mitsukake can heal. The Seven Seishi must battle with their seven opponents, the Seiyruu Seishi, who are lead by Miaka's best friend Yui.
