The first thing you must remember if your survival is of any importance in the Purple Tower is we are set in Modern Rand Land or MRL for short. We are in no way associated with the other White Tower role playing groups found on American Online or any other part of the Web. This does not mean you can't belong to other groups, it just means we do not mix. For all intents and purposes, we're in an alternate universe. The White Tower referred to in this site is set in MRL and populated for the most part by Non Player Characters (NPCs).
The Purple Ajah was originally an Ajah of the Arts in the White Tower. As interest grew and certain tensions arose between the Purples and the rest of the Ajahs, we broke apart from the White Tower and formed our own Tower, the Purple Tower, a tower entirely devoted to the arts as well as channeling. The White Tower conducted a smear campaign against the Purple Tower, accusing us of being Darkfriends, and driving our group from our home in Tar Valon. The Purple Tower fled, relocating under the guise of an art school in New Manetheren.

To emphasize our differences from the White Tower, we use a different
terminology:
Each Septa represents a different focus on an Art form:
And since there would be no Purple Tower without such, I present to you our current benevolent leaders:
There is a training period for Studè and Nila in the Purple Tower. Studè are expected to work in all areas (of the arts), if possible, to get a feel for what they might want to do. They are taken on trips to Tel'aran'rhiod where they are trained in its uses. All Studè will learn at least the fundamentals of each of the arts--how to read music, how to use the word processor (basic story construction), artistic fundamentals such as shading and basic line design, movement, voice instruction... this helps them (in character at least) to get a feel for what they might want to do.
Once one is Nila she or he narrows his or her field to a few areas. Ayende Vera are allowed to work "outside of their Septas" so to speak. Upon being Raised to Nila the candidate must role play a test (similar to the Three Arches of the White Tower) in Tel'aran'rhiod.
Newly Raised Nila will receive a necklace with a ring similar in appearance to those ter'angreal used in Tel'aran'rhiod. The twisted stone ring is a symbol of the Purple Tower.
In order to be Raised from Nila to full Ayende Vera, the canidate must
present a masterwork in his/her chosen Septa to the Cuebiyar, Anima,
SianStudè, and SianSepta. When Ayende Vera status is attained, they
receive a ring that is the color of their chosen Septa and has an animal
(unique to each individual) inscribed within.
