Jendra Kolsant
Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah
Mistress of Novices
Jendra ducked under a tree trying to avoid the attacking Trollocs. The Tower was miles away from the Two Rivers and she needed help quickly. Balls of fire formed in her hands as she embraced Saidar and weaved fire. Screams filled the air as more and more Trollocs ran after her, their distorted faces snarling with hatred
Her dark brown hair was in disarray as she ran from the weapon weilding beasts. The sunlight nearly gone, and the dark uncertainty of night crept upon her. She ran with eagerness as her violet eyes scanned for a way out. She found none. Taking her staff she turned to face her persuers. Their blood lusting eyes bulged at her tall body, her face soft with the ageless Aes Sedai can only have. But her soul was filled with anger and hate for these creatures who outnumbered and killed her beloved Gaidin, Darvin. She could remember his hard, stone-like face that grew soft when they were in each others arms. His powerful arms holding her close and keeping her from danger. That was gone now. She couldn't even save her Warder, and now she was alone.
What had once been thought of as a honeymoon for Jendra and Darvin, turned into a nightmare that would only bring about worse consequences. Jendra found out that these Trollocs had arrived to kill someone a Fade thought was Ta'veren. That was when she discovered that a woman of the Black Ajah was truly behind this scheme. This woman was someone she looked up to in her childhood at Tar Valon. A childhood now blackened by the hate and evil of this woman. Jendra couldn't even say her name without shuddering.
A snarl behind her made her spin her staff, breaking the jaw of the Trolloc before her. The weapon danced in her arms as she warded off the advancing monsters, their mouths snapping at her staff, their swords and arrows reflecting off the wooden beam. She continued to search for a way out when she found it.
A waygate lay undisturbed by man several hundred paces away from her. The weeds and vines masking it's existance to the world. She smacked a trolloc with a free hand and ran toward the gate. She was tiring from the exertion but she knew this was her only hope. Finding the Avendesora leaf, she moved it, opening the gate. Turning towards the Shadowspawn she lifted her hands and attempted something that she knew would get their attention. Her eyes moved rapidly, the sound of the gate locking open behind her, she watched the weaves form. Luckily they were far enough away from her to make this complicated weave.
Now came the opportunity and she took it. Screaming from the top of her lungs, a white light formed in her hands and shot forward in a column of bright light. Balefire engulfed all those that pursued her. She fell to her knees as the night quieted, the sweat she had not noticed before, clinging to her pale green dress and her body. Breathing heavily she held her breath and entered the waygate, hoping this was the quickest way home, back to Tar Valon.
