Cody's Stuff...
I have to appologize for the poor quality of the pictures. I'm working with great software..but great software can only do so much. A good quality camera can go a looooooong way. Same goes for scanner. And if I were still in my photography class, I'd have been able to do the prints myself. Which would have helped a bit too. Anyway, here's my fuzzy buddy to show you his feet. As good as I can make the pictures of them look anyway. The next set of pictures will be taken MUCH more carefully and not with a disposable camera. They should be coming as soon as I can steal...ahem...borrow a good camera. :) So here are his before the farrier came pictures...well the ones that arent totally out of focus.

Alittle of his background first though. He's a (supposedly as well) pure bred Morgan gelding, around 21 yrs old (lookit all that grey hair..tisk tisk...he needs "Just for Geldings") I've owned him the past 2 yrs. He's on 24 hour turn out with a shed to run into with 3 other horses on a decent sized pasture. Gets 2 bales of hay thrown out for all 4 horses to pick at so hay intake is variable. And about 3 cups Blue Seal Trotter pellets in the evening. And grass, when ever there is some growth (we rotate between 2 fields).

Here he is doing what he does best...being irritated about something.

The fronts from..well the front. Have to remember to take the pictures either not on a sunny day or face the horse into the sun....gotta remember...

The so called club foot from the side. I need a camera with a manual focus....

The hinds! Again..have to face the horse into the sun. Live and learn. And spend too much money. The coronary band is funny looking on the one foot because I've been wrapping that foot. First encounter with an abscess.

The hinds from the side. And an icky little abcess. He never ever showed any signs of lameness. I rode him the day before for 2 hours over rough terrain, was picking his feet out the evening after and found this. He never did and still doesnt show any signs of lameness from this.
