Hundreds of sentient races are known to exist throughout the galaxy. For our purposes, we will deal with only the 25 most populous. Racial statistics include:
HGT ----- Height is in metres, with dual measurements (eg 0.7/1.8m) indicating average height and length for that race. May be randomly rolled by taking the result of a d10 (odd- shorter, even-taller), & subtracting / adding 2d10 cm to the being's height. Doubles roll again & add to the overall result.
WGT ----- Weight is in kilograms, and assumes a 1 gravity environment. May be randomly rolled by taking the result of a d10 (odd-lighter, even-heavier), & subtract / add 2D10 kg to the being's weight. Doubles roll again & add to the overall result. An extreme number either way (+ / - 20 kg or more) may (though not always) indicate a disorder of some type.
DIET ----- A carnivore eats meat, a herbivore vegetation and an omnivore eats both. Average food intake required for a normal day is in kilojoules.
REPRODUCTION ----- Reproduction is either oviparous (egg laying), viviparous (live birth), asexual (splitting off from oneself), or occasionally by other means.
LIFESPAN ----- This is the average length a being of that race will live in cycles. Characters generally start as an adult at 20% of the races lifespan. A baby is considered to be 1% - 5% of the races' lifespan. A child is 6% - 10%, a youth 11% - 19%, a young adult 20% - 30%, mature is 31% - 50%, senior is 51% - 80%, and old is 81% - 100%. A baby has -40 on all attributes, a child has -30, and a youth has -10 (with +1 added for every 1% towards young adult). Seniors have -10 on physicals, old agers have an additional -10 on physicals and -10 on mentals. When an individual reaches old age, they must make cyclic END rolls or they will get sick. During this illness, should they fail another END roll, death by old age will occur. Success of an END roll during sickness results in recovery. After 100% of lifespan, they must make END rolls every dec (10 days).
MOVE MOD. ----- Each races physiology differs and this affects its speed of movement, eg - a Bioio, with a 0.4 movement modifier, usually uses 4 limbs to move. The 4 lower limbs combined STR, multiplied by 0.4, would give its BMS.
BODY TEMP. ----- Body temperature is the average internal temperature for the race.
CLIMATE ----- This indicates the environment the race evolved in and thrives best in. With some races (such as oviparous), this may also indicate the conditions needed to reproduce.
ATMOSPHERE ----- The atmosphere, including normal gaseous mixtures, that race must breath for survival. A + sign indicates common trace elements.
G's ----- This is the number of G's sustained by a race on their planet of origin. For every increase or decrease of one G, the race will have an attendant gain or loss of 50% STR and END (this will not effect BRR).

This cold blooded race developed on the harsh desert planet of Atah, where temperatures in the mid 60 Celcius range are not uncommon. Body temperature is regulated through the use of the wings as solar collectors or heat sinks. These powerful wings give the reptile excellent flight capability. By use of thermals, Atyoi may stay aloft for hours with little effort.
A very territorial race, Atyoi prefer to dwell in high rock faces and defend them from any outsiders. The flying range of their territory can extend for several hundred kilometers. A family unit usually consists of a mother, father and 2-3 children. Coloration starts from a light brown in infants to dark brown in adults and deep black in ancient Atyoi.
The race possesses the senses of sight (with a 150 degree arc of vision), hearing, touch, and smell/taste. The latter is a form of smelling the air with the tongue to taste air molecules. It is extremely acute, and can even tell such information as whether a being has passed their way in the last short while. This is the second number for head PER above.
Just under two hours of sleep is optimum for this race. Gestation lasts 0.8 cycles with another 0.7 cycles for incubation. Three eggs are a usual clutch for Atyoi who generally only lay once per lifetime. Shlashen (male) and Bitteren (female) are common Atyoi names.

The Bioio are a six legged race, with the middle limbs used as their upper limbs for manipulation. They have high endurance, with two sets of lungs in their large torso. This gives them double the usual rate for holding their breath. Coloration ranges through all shades of black.
A nomadic people, bioio are unable to stay in one area for very long. As a result of this nomadic existance, they have been slow to develop their own technologies and instead prefer a low tech lifestyle.
The standard five senses of sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell are possessed within the normal range. Two and one quarter hours is the usual rest period needed for Bioio. Gestation lasts an average of 2.6 cycles, with one or two young common. Gn'asha (male) and Gn'leysa (female) are typical Bioio names.

A five tentacled stalk being, a Cdurya is a mobile sentient plant. Dirty yellow and light orange are the two most common colorations. The tentacles radiate from the midpoint of the stalk and are used as either arms or legs (usually three are used as legs). Sight is by use of a cluster of five photoreceptors near the top of the stock. This gives them a 360 degree field of view.
Sight, hearing and touch are average, but the senses of smell and taste are not possessed by this race. All Cdurya are carnivores and eating is accomplished by use of a tough ridged mouth under the tentacles. This race does not require sleep. Gestation requires 3.6 cycles after pollination with over 100 airborne seedlings released to fend for themselves. Cdurya usually only bear young once in a lifetime. Fhef is a name typical to this race.

Dilvans are short humanoids with large amounts of facial hair, and protruding snouts. As Dilvans may derive from many different worlds and cultures, their coloration varies from light grey to dark brown. They have six digits per hand, giving them exceeding proficiency in skills such as ledgerdermain, etc. Dilvans possess all five of the normal senses, and require an average of four hours of sleep per night.
Dilvans are a very difficult race to associate with, as most races find them to be self-centered, surly, and even mildly sadistic. This typical view from most other races, coupled with their small statures and above average agility, forces many Dilvans to have acquired STEALTH at level 1 before reaching maturity. Typically, a Dilvan couple will rear three children, with one child per pregnancy being normal, and taking 2.1 cycles to complete.
A minor friction exists between Dilvans and the K' E' L' een, a biologically incompatible racial variant, as each thinks the other disrespectful of the other's culture. Though difficult to distinguish by other races, they recognize the other as easily as they would their own. A Dilvan name example would be Dammet TWO (T-WO), while a K' E' L' een example would be Dorzed Deofsol.

Squat, barrel shaped anthropoids without heads, Doegribs are encased in a natural body armor equivalent to their END in AV per body location. Their "head" is centered in their front torso, and is as well armored as the rest of their body, however this fact also explains the lower perception of a Doegrib, sight and tactile particularily. Coloration varies from an orange tinged yellow to black, and usually the older a Doegrib, the darker the coloration will be. A Doegrib typically needs 2.5 hours of sleep per night. Families will consist of a mated male and female, and one male and female child ensured through infanticide. Gestationl lasts an average of 2.8 cycles.
Doegribs possess great patience and little fear. They are also a slow moving, but fast thinking race. As they are very systematic and do not make decisions lightly, they are excellent as troubleshooters in a variety of fields ranging from civilian accounting to military logistics. Examples of Doegrib names are Bwarth and Gronk.

A small, centipede-like creature with 60 small legs and 2 arms with mandibles at the ends, Eiloskits possess remarkable STR, END, and HLT due to the gravity extremes of their native planet. Coloration is either white, green, or black, and will become grey with age (white), dark moss-like (green), or dull black with age. This race breathes Flourine and Krypton, and although sees in the thermal radiation spectrum (similar to NVD-TI), has otherwise normal senses. The Eiloskits require an average of 2.4 hours of dormant rest per day (they do not actually sleep). The gestational period of .65 cycles requires the male to construct a cocoon of surrounding material and bodily fluids which protects and inseminates the 21 to 30 rubbery eggs laid by the female. The hatching time is usually .8 cycles after laying.
The Eiloskits are a highly moral race. Though they are all strong and skillful warriors, the Caste system they use reflects certain birthrights. The Blacks will always have access to the best teachings available and are considered the nobility. They control the Greens, who are considered the middle class. The Greens control the Whites, who are considered the dredges and servants of the other colors. All colors know their place within their society, and know the wrath inflicted upon those who step outside it (such as a white receiving premium training from an outside source). An Eiloskits name example would be Recarik-w.

Comprised of flexible organic crystal, the El-retue's appearance is that of a block with two upper limbs, supported by three short legs. Coloration ranges from translucent with pearlescent hues to an opaque milky white. El-retue have no sense of taste or smell, and their tactile sense is limited to pressure, which may also detect audio vibrations through solid objects as long as a conductive medium is present. Speech is also through vibrations, allowing El-retue in contact with the same conductive surface to "talk" to each other in space. Vision is accomplished through higher spectrum generating "organs", and while not strong enough to harm organic lifeforms, may see through solid objects up to their PER in centimeter thickness. These rays eminate in a 240 degree arc away from the El-retue, and represents their forward facing. Both their pressure and visual senses are limited to their modified PER in meters. Due to their composition, an El-retue may generate a piezo-electric charge. While little more than a spark, this charge is more than enough to ignite flammable materials such as paper, fuels, etc.
El-retue do not sleep or breathe, and consume 1% of their mass per day in either synthetic or natural crystal. The natural crystal they consume is bio-organic in nature, providing nourishment as well as having healing properties. Unfortunately, this crystal has only been found on ReTus (pronounced Ray-tus), the El-retue's volcanic homeworld. However, they are able to ingest nearly all igneous rock, such as granite. While not having the healing properties of their native crystal, this does provide an adequate source of nourishment. While they are normally very reserved, starving El-retue have been known to take nourishment from any source they can find (such as streets, buildings, etc.), bringing them, occasionally, into a bad light.
Young are created by an El-retue scaling off a piece of themselves and placing it in the nutrient laced volcanic waters of ReTus, where bio-organic crystals form onto the scaled piece. After an average of 2.1 uninterrupted cycles within the waters, a newborne El-retue emerges. The El-retue will come together once every 50 cycles for this mass project. Due to ReTus's volcanic nature, not all will survive. As El-retue will erode with time, the smaller ones are typically the oldest, and the "Infusion" is also a time where older El-retues try transferring their entire life essence into a bio-crystal for growth within ReTus's waters. It is not always successful.
El-retue are usually solitary, but will come together for large projects whenever multiple beings are needed (such as the Infusion). They have a high regard for life, but are often suspicious of other races. Examples of El-retue names are Tza and Vfh.

Large humanoids with protruding faces and small hands, Frecf have almost as much armor as the Doegrib (80% of END in AV per body location). Coloration varies through all shades of brown, and though mottling increases with age, their surface always appears polished. They possess the five normal senses, though their vision is restricted to the ultraviolet spectrum. An average of 2.75 hours of sleep per day is required, and they require a large amount of food per day to sustain themselves, otherwise their bodies will pull the required energy from their own natural armor (at 1 AV point per 2500 kJ/day/location). The gestation period ranges from 1.9 to 2.3 cycles, with only single children being born.
The Frecf have the longest history of any known race, although much of it is lost. It seems that at their high point, they had an interstellar empire ranging over 300,000 cubic light cycles. This was, however, approximately 15000 cycles ago. Their culture is an extremely warlike one, having fought three wars with various members of Intergalactic (an early confederation of races). All adult members of this race are required to spend ten cycles in basic military training, and must serve an additional two cycle term every ten cycles. Given their long history and militaristic bent, the Frecf are considered the most medically advanced race in the known universe. Examples of male and female Frecf names are Butphes and Hasholl, respectively.

Ghlans are feline-like anthropoids covered in fur, with color ranging through all parts of the normal spectrum. They have the five normal senses, as well as being able to see in low light conditions (similar to NVD-LI). Their eyes also contain secondary eyelids which autonomously react to sudden, extreme lighting situations. Though not proof against dazzling or stunning effects, these membranes will protect the eyes from permanent or even temporary blinding. All five digits of a Ghlan's hand have retractable claws which do an additional 1D10 damage per five claw attack. An average of 3.5 hours of sleep per day is required for complete rest, although a Ghlan may extend this over several shorter "naps" if he so wishes, so long as the minimum 3.5 hours is acquired. The average gestation period for a mated Ghlan couple is 1.8 cycles, with 1 to 3 young average per birth. Young Ghlan are multicolored, a cross of both parents, which graduates into one color as they enter adulthood.
Ghlans are honorable, group oriented, and highly motivated creatures. Their culture is matrilineal (parentage is traced through the female side). A male Ghlan that gains his mother's color and/or markings is considered to be a natural and strong leader. Should this turn out to be untrue, the sibling will be publically acknowledged with great dishonor, and given one chance (usually suicidal) to redeem himself and his family. Otherwise, all Ghlan, including his family, will regard the offender with contempt, and may even try to eliminate the offender (if the family does, their honor will be restored). Examples of Ghlan names include Fea (Fee-ah) and Ahea (Ah-hay), female and male respectively.

Haitghaig are humanoid from the torso upwards, and serpantine below. Their humanoid half will usually show their appropriate age, with coloration ranging from white to black. Regardless of age, their hair (if any) will always match their serpantine coloration, ranging from grey to blue-black. Haitghaigs have an extra elbow and length of arm, giving them a reach of over one meter. As well, a small bone blade (10% of tail's length in cm) may be sheathed or extruded from their tail tip in one action. This organic blade does 3D10 damage, and will regrow in a number of days equal to their torso END if it is broken off. Movement is accomplished by the last two thirds of the torso raising the body up in a slithering motion. Though possessing the five normal senses, a Haitghaig's tail is sensitive enough to sense heat within half their PER in a meter radius, and if they move over another beings recent path, they can determine their quarry's direction of travel. This ability gives all Haitghaig TRACKING at level 1. They also require an average of 2.5 hours of sleep per day, and their gestation period averages 2.5 cycles with 10 to 20 young per birth normal.
A long history of nomadic living before and after space travel has developed myths and belief systems intricate and involved, driving superstition deep into the Haitghaig psyche. Perhaps the longest of these is their traditional mating contest, in which all males having reached maturity within the last 10 cycles must battle each other in often mortal combat for the right to procreate. The top contender then challenges the current male champion. The females have a similar contest, with the female champion being declared before the male. The female champion has the choice of accepting the male champion, or rejecting him in favor of another. If rejected, both champions must battle for the right to choose the mate they want. All of these battles are not necessarily to the death, although there are many fatalities, and a Haitghaig may optionally rejoin the contest after surviving their mandatory first, when the next mating contest begins (in 10 cycles). The champion couple will live like royalty during their 10 cycle term, when each must accept the challenge of their respective contenders.
Though slow to take offence, Haitghaig are dangerous opponents when angered. They believe strongly in revenge, though they will not exceed in severity the original transgression which they suffered due to, and in fear of, their strong convictions. Examples of Haitghaig names include Sarin and Tabun, male and female respectfully.

Typically humanoid with coloration ranging from white to black, Homo Sapiens (or Humans) have the five normal senses. They require an average of 3 hours of sleep per day, and their gestation period averages 2.4 cycles, with 1 young per birth average. Note that a dimorphism exists between the male and female of the species, with females possessing 25% less STR and END than listed above.
Most Homos are rather xenophobic, especially to creatures to whom the term "bug-like" applies. Tall, heavy set avians with long necks, the Hrik are fast two limbed runners. Though having the light yet strong bone structure of most avian races, the heavy musculature of their torso and legs prevents flight from a static takeoff. However, this evolutionary adaption to high gravity also allows an average Hrik to acomplish running long jump distances of over 15 meters with ease. They have 4 fingered hands at the tips of their vestigial wings which are incapable of flight, as well as a pair of antennae above their "temples", allowing them to not only detect scents, but also to gauge an object's distance with stunning accuracy (similar to a laser range finder). A Hriks' beak and feet claws are especially sharp, doing an additional 1D10 and 2D10 respectively. Their coloration varies from green to black, with neck plumage being white for males and yellow for females. They possess all 5 of the normal senses, although their vision is extremely acute. They require at least 3.5 hours of sleep per day for complete rest. A mated couple will have an average gestation period of .9 cycles, with 1 or 2 eggs requiring an additional .7 cycle incubation period to hatch.
The Hrik are extremely logical, and have a cleanliness fetish for both themselves and their environment. As such, they will not normally live in an unclean metropolis unless they are doing something about it. They will occasionally mock flying races as primitives, taking great pride in believing they have evolved into the fastest running entities in existance. There is no distinguishable gender difference in Hrik names, with Bodk Selp being an example.

Considered extremely ugly, if not fearsome, by most other races, Iruts are tall humanoids with small horns growing out of their temples. An extremely strong and long lived race, they possess the 5 normal senses, although they have a greater dynamic range with their horns, allowing them to hear sounds too high or too low to normally be heard by many other races. Iruts require approximately 4 hours of sleep per day for complete rest, and a mated couple requires an average of 2.6 cycles for gestation. Two young are typical at birth (although twins are rare), and will be somewhat deaf until their horns grow enough to allow their full range of hearing (usually within a cycle).
Iruts are very even tempered, patient individuals, lending an unusually lethargic appearance to outsiders. In truth, however, the Irutians develop and utilize the highest forms of technology in the known universe, and were exploring nearby stars while most other races were still trying to develop fire. This fact was proven when a potentially habitable world was found to contain the wreckage of an ancient Irutian exploratian vessel. Unfortunately, their awareness of this fact has given them a superiority complex which irritates most other races, and has brought them to the brink of war many times. The knowledge of their high technology level, as well as the fact that they are very often skilled and powerful opponents, makes other races think twice before challenging an Irut. Although there is no distinguishable gender difference between Irutian names, any two Iruts with the same name must battle before their peers over the name. This is occasionally to the death, but if the loser survives, he must change his name. Heahdoods is an example of an Irut name.

The Job4trg are an insectoid race, with four small arms, two wings, and (depending on the racial variant) two or four legs. Although true flight is impossible for a Job4trg from a static takeoff, their wings do allow them limited gliding from heights, or increased air time for a jump. They possess the 5 normal senses, although these are very acute, and their vision is in the thermal spectrum (similar to NVD-TI). A Job4trg requires an average of 1.5 hours of sleep per day for complete rest. They have a biological reproductive state lasting 10 days which occurs every 5 cycles, during which time all Job4trgs are unfocused and frustrated. This is when those wishing offspring must return to their homeworld of Thron and seek a mate. After a .8 cycle gestation period, 1 to 3 fertilised eggs are buried in mud and deserted, hatching after 1.85 cycles (assuming predators have not found and devoured them) and having an innate knowledge of their home colony's direction.
The Job4trg long ago realised their physical fragility, and while unintimidated by confrontations, have chosen to stop problems with reason and logic whenever possible. They have adapted into excellent burrowers, making entire colonies either within mountainsides (4 legged) or in the ground (2 legged). Their evolution has diverged the Job4trg into two variants, where the older 4 legged species (excellent climbers, with CLIMBING at level 1) have driven out the mutated 2 legged species (excellent at surviving in Thron's deserts, with SURVIVAL-DESERT at level 1). There is an ongoing hostility between both species, including the kidnapping and/or destruction of the other variant's eggs. Name examples for the Job4trg include Ktec4talk (hard sounding, representing the 4 legged variant) and Gon4de (soft sounding, representing the 2 legged variant).

The Ldjebel are a canine-like race without tails, and having leather-like skin instead of body hair. They have 8 limbs which may be used as either arms or legs, with the more agile first pair typically being used as arms. Although Ldjebels have all 5 of the normal senses, their sense of smell is slightly more acute, allowing them to detect the perspiration of most races. While not foolproof, this allows them a chance to detect lying equal to their PER minus half the other person's WIL, with appropriate modifiers for other odors, wet or humid terrain, etc. A Ldjebel's sharp teeth and powerful jaws deliver a 2D10 biting attack. They also require an average of 3 hours of sleep per day for complete rest. The Ldjebel have closely knit family units, with the oldest female approving a suitable mate from another family unit for anyone within her unit. Ferocious battles between family units over the rejection of a potential suitor have been known to go on for generations. A mated couple will have an average gestation period of 2 cycles, with 1 or 2 young average per birth.
As a very proud race, the Ldjebel are sometimes selfish, stubborn, and vindictive. However most Ldjebels are stable individuals. As they recognise each other by scent, most Ldjebels are given names only if they are going to spend most of their lives away from their homeworld. In these cases, the high female is the one who assigns the departing Ldjebel his name, usually inspired through solitude and nature, with Efficee Granger being an example.

With an appearance similar to a bear, Predors are large, tall humanoids with brown, black, grey, or white (rare) hair covering their entire bodies. While far from nimble, their large powerful jaws capable of delivering 3D10 damage, along with the long claws on their 4 limbs doing 2D10 each, makes a Predor a fearsome opponent. They prefer to move upright, but a Predor can switch to all four limbs for both increased speed and endurance. For the Predors, the female of the species is more deadly than the male, being an average of 25% taller, 20% heavier, and with an additional 35% of their base STR, END, and HLT stats. They possess the 5 normal senses, with their acute sense of smell giving them TRACKING at level 1. Though capable of functioning for long periods of time without sleep, they require an average of 3.2 hours of deep sleep per day for complete rest. A mated Predorian couple will have an average gestation period of 3.1 cycles, with 2 young average per birth.
Predors are typically noted for their vicious and bad temperaments, as well as excelling in martial skills. Most also come from their homeworld Pren, a 2.3 G arctic world with varying terrain. Pren is also noted for having one of the lowest crime rates in the Monarchy, due to their extremely swift judicial system (if found guilty of a capital offence, sentence is immediate execution). Due to the high gravity, certain minerals and elements not naturally found on 1 G worlds are native to Pren, and are one of its forms of commercial export. Names are non-distinguishable between genders, with Bloodbath being an example.

Pyds are large, heavy set humanoids with natural body armor equivalent to 60% of each body location's END. While providing the same protection at any age, older Pyds will show superficial drying and cracking in their natural armor. Their coloration varies from light green to dark blue. Their beaks and claws do an additional 2D10 of damage. Pyds possess the 5 normal senses, and require an average of 3 hours of light sleep per day for complete rest. While 80% of Pyds are born male, all male Pyds experience a gender shift around middle age (they turn into females). It has been theorized that this is due to latent genetic and hormonal changes within a Pyd's body. Pyds will come together 4 times within their long lives to procreate, with the females having an average gestation period of 1.4 cycles. The males then take over the incubation period, taking the 4 eggs wherever they go, guarding them from harm for the next .9 cycles (average) until they hatch. As the female leaves when her gestation period is done, the young only have one parent (the male) until they are old enough to fend for themselves (usually after 100 cycles).
As a slow-paced race of nature lovers, Pyds seem to be natural ecologists. Indeed, they are highly sought as such, for planet colonisation, environmental restoration work, etc., and are commonly the recipients of many awards acknowledging these works. Examples of Pyd names include Durundel (male), while female names always change, reflecting their most recent mate (e.g. Mate of Durundel).

Vaguely humanoid in appearance, Scavians have a coloration ranging from light to dark blue, and possess no distinctive features due to their lack of a skeletal structure. These protoplasmic individuals can create 10% of their torso END (rounded down) in number of limbs, extending outwards from the torso and each possessing the applicable stats shown above. Note that the head is considered a limb, and that functioning without it results in a -20% penalty to PER, due to the sensory organs being submerged within the torso. Absorbing a limb into the torso transfers the limbs' appropriate STR, END, and HLT into the torso, while extending it transfers them back. It takes 200 - torso END in seconds to extend or absorb a limb. The brain is capable of moving up to half of the torso's END in centimeters away from the torso's center, with the eyestalks capable of extending away from the brain up to an additional half of the torso's END. In this manner, they are capable of seeing around corners, etc, without exposing the entire body. Food and water are consumed through osmosis - ingestion directly through the skin and digestion throughout the body. As Scaviens do not breathe, a bellowing form of vocal communication is achieved by trapping air and then expelling it, shaping the body as the air passes through it. The more body surface area that traps air, the louder the bellow. Scavians possess the 5 normal senses and require an average of 4.5 hours of sleep per day. A hermaphroditic race (possessing the reproductive organs of both sexes), Scavians procreate by being inseminated from any other Scavian, and absorbing all limbs into themselves for an average gestation period of 2.2 cycles. During this time they have minimal movement, with the "fathering" Scavian bringing nourishment to the gestating Scavian, with one young per budding.
Scavians are calculating and survival oriented, giving most adults SURVIVAL at level 1. This, combined with the fact that they prefer as many factors in their favor as possible with whatever they're doing, has allowed them to migrate from their homeworld of Scal to many other colony worlds. As a race, they will typically use up whatever consumable resources are available, then move on to another world if replenishment is not possible. They commonly will avoid combat when able, with their ability to think rationally under extreme circumstances being, perhaps, their greatest asset. With no distinguishable gender difference between Scavian names, Bar and Bom are typical examples.

A Shuilv is a cone of muscle atop a large spherical bone with a honeycomb interior which it uses to propel itself. This bone has double the torso's END as armor value. The cone tapers into a tentacle like limb, acting as an arm, with the tip dexterous enough to act as a hand. Three very acute eyes spaced around a Shuilv's body give it 360 degree vision and excellent PER. Coloration varies between beige and brown, with differences being so slight only a Shuilv can usually tell the gender differences. Food and water are consumed through a mouth hidden under the ball, with the ball being able to retain water within its honeycomb interior for up to 10% of torso END in days. They may expell this stored water at any time (at 1 second per day of stored water), allowing the now hollow bone to float. In this manner, a Shuilv may swim by moving its tentacle, and can dive by intaking storage water as a form of ballast. Shuilvs require an average of 2.5 hours of sleep per day. A mated female Shuilv will consume inseminating fluids from the male in the same way it would consume food and water. The hollow bone then becomes a gyrostabilized womb, and after 3.1 cycles produces a single young. Note that during this gestation period, the female Shuilv is unable to intake storage water.
Shuilvs are nonconfrontational entities who would rather flee from a conflict than fight. Although they are no great warriors, they will hold their own if given enough motivation. It is a well known and perfectly acceptable fact (among Shuilvs) that female Shuilvs bearing young will attempt to kill any being threatening their unborn young. This is why gestating Shuilvs will usually isolate themselves from public when within a metropolis. Typical examples of Shuilv names are Ho Humm (male) and Wheirlas (female).

Sibirs are similar in appearance to a kangaroo, only heavier, taller, and possessing two tails. As a result, Sibirs are capable of jumping exceptional distances (see JUMPING), with their tails stabilizing their landings. Their tail STR does not add to STR vs ENCUMBRANCE when moving, but it does assist when doing a stationary leg lift, as well as to their KDT. A Sibir's coloration may vary between
dark brown to white. They possess the 5 normal senses, and require an average of 3 hours of sleep per day. If unable to obtain this needed amount of sleep, a Sibir not only becomes more irritable and violent (-10% to WIL per hour of missed sleep to prevent this), but is also unable to jump as far as normally possible (-10% to leg STR per hour of missed sleep for determining jumping only). These negative modifiers no longer apply once a Sibir gets an adequate amount of rest. The gestation period for a mated female Sibir averages 2.7 cycles, with 1 young per birth common. Parents are extremely attached to their young, caring for them until the offspring become young adults. This tight bonding lasts throughout a Sibir's life, and usually extends across the entire family (with 2 parents and 3 children average).
Quick to take offense, the Sibir are a violent race. In hand to hand combat, Sibirs prefer to use kick attacks due to their exceptional lower limb AGL and STR. Sibirs have no moral code against killing, seeing death as simply a triumph of the strong over the weak. This trait makes them excellent soldiers, and if given the option, they will usually take combat over a desk job. Females will have only 2 names (such as Traduce Lacerate), while males will have 3 or more (such as Death From Above). To other races, all Sibirian names appear to have a bent towards glorified maiming in some fashion.

A Tlkcxtkc has the appearance of a giant cockroach with 8 limbs, 2 antenna, and large ratchet-like mandibles capable of locking onto an opponent with minimal effort. By continuously squeezing to a tighter setting, a Tlkcxtkc may do 2D10 plus head STR bonus damage to a target. Although all 8 legs may be used for movement or manipulation, the front pair has the best AGL and is typically used for handling and operating items. Breathing is possible through 6 holes in the lower abdomen, while speech is accomplished through a small double set of mandibles. A Tlkcxtkc's antennae function as olfactory organs (smell), while their compound eyes give them a 270 degree field of vision, increasing their PER (sight only) to 110%. They also possess the 4 other senses, though these are of average strength. Coloration is either brown or black, and Tlkcxtkc require an average dormant state of 1.5 hours per day. Tlkcxtkcs do not take spouses, but they will come together to mate, with a gestation period of 1.1 cycles and an incubation period of .6 cycles average. During the incubation period both parents will be near to the nest to protect the 6 eggs laid (average), but as Tlkcxtkcan eggs are considered a delicacy by many sentient and non-sentient races, the eggs will only have a 60% survival rate.
Although their homeworld of Th'uule (pronounced Thuule) is still home to many Tlkcxtkc, the fact that they are very serious, single minded, and stable has seen them migrate to many other worlds. They are well known as unnerving opponents in combat, due to their extremely high pain threshold. Examples of male and female names include Z'let Traek and T'lesa L'ect respectively.

Simian in appearance, Uiloms are covered in a light layer of fur with coloration ranging from light brown to dark black. Both forearms contain bone ridges which do 1D10 plus upper limb STR bonus in damage each. They possess all 5 of the normal senses, and require about 2.5 hours of sleep per day. A mated female will have an average gestation period of 2.2 cycles, with 1 or 2 young per birth.
Uiloms are clan oriented, with strong family ties within the clan. They are highly competitive and quick to resort to violence, both within and outside of the clan. Their mastery of various martial arts is well known, with each clan having their own personalized style passed down through the family (such as the Rothan style). Changes to these styles do occur, which are proposed in front of all the clan. If the suggestion is agreed to have merit, the proposed change must be used in hand to hand combat with the clan leader, in witness of the clan. If he wins, the change may then be implemented. The Uilom are also well known for their famous Uilom Clan Games, where gambling aristocrats have both made and lost fortunes. Uilom name examples include Halor Rothan (male) and Baln Zermal (female).

Hairless anthropoids possessing 4 arms and 4 eyes, the Wendj have a blue skin coloration that fluctuates lighter and darker (similar to blushing) depending upon the amount of ambient radiation around them. This offers them no protection (except against a bad sunburn), but can act as a form of radiation detection. They possess all 5 of the normal senses, and require an average of 3 hours of sleep per day for complete rest. 50% of female Wendj are capable of gestation but are unable to provide genetic information (eggs), with the other half are unable to gestate. For this reason, mated Wendj couples will typically form parental groups, whereby a female capable of carrying the unborn through the entire term is adopted. The gestational period averages 2.3 cycles, with 1 or 2 young per birth common. Children normally grow up having 1 father and 2 mothers.
Being partially ambidextrous allows all Wendj to control which limb they consider their most agile at any time, allowing them to work quickly and accurately on seperate projects. This, combined with their exceptional AGL and PER, has made them prime specimens for slavers (in past times). Their homeworld, ThaaLan 2, is a wet tropical world with a high amount of ambient radiation (especially ultraviolet and infrared). There are few Wendj who still reside here, however, due to a history of forced labor on other planets by slavers. Wendj names are spelled with their surnames first, however most races will pronounce it as one word. The notable difference between genders is a silent consonant, with males having it in the middle of their names, and females having it at the end. Examples of Wendj names include Trah Ken (male, pronounced in common as Tracken), and TaLann (female).

The Ypd e'rd are a race of very tall humanoids, with a wingspan expanding over 5 meters. Coloration varies between shades of brown and black. They possess the 5 normal senses, although their vision is limited to the infrared spectrum. As the typical Ypd e'rd has insufficient strength for a static takeoff, flight is usually only possible by running and jumping, or by diving from a height. An average of 2 hours in a deep trance are required for complete rest, during which they have little awareness of their surroundings. Ypd e'rds will mate solely for the purpose of procreation, with a gestation period averaging 2.6 cycles and 1 or 2 young common. Instinct allows the young to fend for themselves after birth, whereby the mated couple abandon them and go their seperate ways.
Since prehistory, the Ypd e'rd have favored the use of a form of punch dagger (a blade with a handle crosswise to the point) attached to a metal sleeve for forearm protection. Due to an Ypd e'rds' size, this "dagger" uses the stats of a short sword. Ypd e'rds are also very individualistic, seeing assistance to others as a form of weakness (unless there is some benefit to be gained). This view causes them to be seen as a selfish race. Name examples include Breun Ary (male) and Wyo Kyuen (female).

Zolvians are seen as incredibly ugly by most other races. Their coloration varies between light speckled grey to a dark mottled black. Zolvians have an amazing regenerative factor, recovering from wounds at 16.5 times normal (see HEALING), and able to regrow severed limbs within 200 - area END in days. They possess the 5 normal senses, and require an average of 4 hours of light sleep per day for complete rest. Zolvians will form parental groups of 2 males and 1 female (due to the large amount of genetic information needed) when offspring are desired. Gestation periods are commonly 2.4 cycles, with 2 (occasionally 1) young average. Zolvians have no official matrimonial ceremonies, but will usually stay together and rotate custody until the young are capable of taking care of themselves, optionally longer.
As a result of their exceptional regenerative powers, most Zolvians display little concern for pain and dangerous situations that would make most other races hesitant. Due to their high regenerative factor, Zolvians often require 2 times the normal dosage where medical drugs are concerned. Zol, their homeworld, is a deadly myriad of creatures, floura and fauna, many of which are poisonous. As a result, many of the best antidotes and antitoxins come from Zol which are found nowhere else in the known galaxy, and the Zolvians that reside there are mostly harvesters of these highly sought after prizes. Zolak Talos (male), and Tura Belfas (female) are examples of Zolvian names.
