The Races

Draconic -The oldest race on Keldorin, these magnifisent creatures have magic that focuses on shapeshifting, and elemental control. They breath fire, wind, ice, gas, etc. The greatest of these creatures, the Elder Dragons , are capable of speaking, and useing the draconic magic. The slightly smaller, but otherwise equals, the Greater Dragons , are just as scarce in population as the Elder Dragons . The smaller Dragons then the Greater, the Lesser Dragons,cannot control as much of the draconic arts, such as shapeshifting etc. Then there are the Wyverns these creatures are very small by comparison to the larger Dragons. They are snae-like, and cannot speak. They also cannot use the Draconic magics, but do share in the draconic gift of breathing the elements. Smallest and most common, are the Drakes . Mostly seen as magic users pets, these small but strong creatures are the weakest in all areas of draconic gifts. Unlike the larger types, they can only breath fire.

Elven-Kin-The Elves are the most in touch with the flow of power, thus making them the most magically evolved race. They live in harmony with nature, and usually only eat friuts, vegetables, and nuts. They are most common in the forest of Southern Keldorin, also known as The Elven Kingdom. The Elves can read power signals much farther than any other race, with the accetion of the long deceased Vaheru. Their magic, however, is mostly defensive and used to make their artifacts stronger and more durable than the artifacts made by other races. They live to be about 1,000 years old. They have light blue or green eyes, blonde/golden hair, and pail complexions. They weigh anywhere between 80-120 lbs, and grow to be about 6'-7'.

All training begins at the age of 15 for the elves. They then progress through, or choose from, these stages of "rank" or "classes":

Non-Magical

1)Swordsman-light leather armor, small metal shield, saber. Skilled fighters, make up most of the Elven millatery.

2)Archer-light leather armor, no shield, longbows. Excellent marcksmen, the archers are the primary attack force used by the Elves.

Magical

1)Weaver-small magic, mostly used to improve the quality of the Elven made goods.

2)Magie-direct magic, such as shields. They cover the retreate of Elven forces during wartime.

3)Spell Bringer-most powerful Elven magic user. They use elemantal magic for defenses and small offenses.

The Farie are much smaller versions of the Elves. The males have two pairs of wings, the females have one pair. They are in a complex contact with the flow of power. It makes their magic the strongest and hardest to counter. They are approximatly 3"-5" tall. They weigh little to nothing. Their hair is silver, white, or gold in color. Their eyes are dark blue or light blue. They live to be about 500 years of age. They have extremely pail, gold tinted skin.

The training for Farie's begin at birth, and they then progress through these classes.

Magical

1)Sleep Brigner-the main magic force of the Faries. They spread magical suggestions to "sleep" through a type of mind magic.

2)Warlock-The most powerful of the Faries are Warlocks. They are capable of using direct magics.

The Marce are the evil Elven-Kin. They're a pail green color in complexion. Their eyes are dark green or black. Their hair is white or silver with a slight green tint. They are equivalent to the Elves in their age, hight, and weight.

All Marce training begins aroung the age of six. They are taught to hate all races other than their own.

Non-Magical

1)Swordsman-The main part of the Marce army. Light Sabres, chain-mail armor, metal skull caps, and a small, metal, round sheild.

2)Archers-Very few archers exist within the ranks of the Marce army. Those that do exist, are the hunters for the army. They carry powerful long-bows made stronger by the evil magics inter-woven in them. They wear light leather armor with hoods.

Magical

1)Ranger-Fighters and magic users. They use small magical attacks, wear heavy leather armor, heavy sabres, and small bows.

2)Hunter-They use a large variaty of offensive magic. They wear heavy cloaks.

Destroyer-The most powerful of the Marce magic classes. These magic warriors can control many diferent magics, ranging from mind control, to outright destructive powers.

Dwarven -The Dwarves are the least in touch with the flow of power. They are usually seen in the mountains and cave areas of Keldorin. Even though some have seen them, their population has never been found. The region that they have been seen in, Eastern Keldorin, is known as The End of the World Mt. Range. Dwarves live to be about 800 years old. They have darker tans, red or brown hair, green, blue, or brown eyes, and weigh between 90-175 lbs. The Dwarves grow to be about 3'2"-5'.

All Dwarven training begins at the age of 10. Then progressing through, or choosing from, these stages of "rank" or "classes":

1)Front Liner-heavey chainmail armor, small metal shields, broadswords. Make up the second largest part of the Dwarven army.

2)Shielder-heavey chainmail armor, large metal shields, no weapon. Protect the Front Liners from arrows and small magical attacks by forming walls of shields.

Human -The largest in population, the humans are in touch with the flow of power, but will never fully harness it, because they are not in touch with nature itself. They have a general attitude that they are the best, and that they deserve full control of the world. The humans live to be about 90 years old. They have any viriaty of complexions, hair color, and eye color. They weigh between 90-200 lbs, and grow to about 5'5"-6'5".

All human training starts at the age of 15. They then progress through, or choose from, these stages of "rank" or "classes":

Non-Magical

1)Swordsman-half-plate armor, large metal shields, broadswords. Foot troops that make up most of the human army.

2)Archer-light leather armor, no shield, crossbows/shortbows. Used primarily as back up forces.

3)Knight-full-plate armor, large metal shields, greatswords(2x the size of broadswords). The second largest part of the human army.

Magical

1)Mind Mage- control of other minds, sending messages to another, moving objects. Easiest to master, needed because all higher levels use mental control.

2)Cleric/Necromancer-the clerics use the faith of the people, to do revivals, or banish raised spirits. The only attack by a cleric is Holy Flame, a blue and white cold fire that only burns the undead. The necromancers use deathpower to raise spirits. Their magic deals in the arts of controling these spirits for power.

3)Magician-uses spells along with devices, scrolls, or books, to channel power into a physical state.

4)Wizard-a magician that channels power through an artifact, so as not to tire himself out.

5)Sorceror-uses the life-force within themself to do magical things.

6)Mage-uses the life-force of existance. Brings it to themself, refines it to make it easier to control, and then can cast it out however they wish.

Halfelf -The offspring of one Elven and one human parent, they are almost as in touch with the flow of power as the Elves. Therefore they can use the power flow to sense far away, and the do more than just useing the power they possess. They do, however, have some of the human arrogance. They also usually have the human magic control, which is focused between attack and defense. The half-elves do not tan as deeply as humans, but are also not as pail as elves. They have a variaty of hair color: brown, blond, silver. Their eyes are brown, blue, or green. They can be as tall as any elf or human, and live to be about 600 years old.

The halfelfs can use either Elven or human character classes.

Dwelven -The offspring of one Dwarven and one Elven parent, they are equals to the humans in power. They , however, are hated by both Elves and Dwarves. They live to be about 900 years old, gaining a good 100 years from their elven blood. They can get a good tan, not as dark as most dwarves. Their hair is brown or blond. Their eyes are blue, green, or brown. They grow to be about 4'-6'5" tall.

The Dwelfs can use either Elven or Dwarven character classes.
