I Love You?
note: names have been used which seem to be rumors and names I need to make up(especially the middle names, they're important, however I need these names). the ages of ash and misty are 19 and 21. how time flies...
note to those who haven't bothered to read the first few chapters: WHAT ARE YOU, NUTS!? anyway, you wouldn't want to read this unless you read the first chapter.
a copyright note: I actually came up sith the entire story from a sitcom called Growing Pains with Kirk Cameron and Alan Thicke. It's the episode where Mike (Kirk Cameron) get's married to Julie (Julie McCullough). Anyway, this is almost exactly like it. I believe it to belong to Disney, all rights reseved, and all the other legal stuff for Growing Pains, anyway on with the story...
Chapter Four - I'm Sorry
The three months have already passed and in three
more weeks, Ash and Misty would soon become husband and wife.
"We are gathered here today to wed these two through Holy
Matrimony," the priest spoke.
Mr. and Mrs. Ketchum looked on as they watched their son. Lily, Violet,
and Daisy, Misty's sisters, all had tears in their eyes.
"If there is anyone who objects to this marriage, speak now or
forever hold your peace," everything was silent, then the whole congregation stood up
and shouted all these reasons why not.
"Tough crowd," said the priest, "Maybe you should tell
them why you're getting married,"
Ash just stared out at the group of people, screaming and shouting.
Misty then spoke, "Hey, yeah, I'm curious too,"
Ash could only stare.
"I LOVE YOU!!!" he grabbed Daisy by the
shoulders and screamed.
"Excuse me, you sicko. Hey you're the one whose getting married,
not me. Why don't you wake up first? Oh and here are your invitations." she said. Ash
looked around, he was in his room, he was dreaming.
"Look, I'm sorry, just I had a nightmare," Ash explained.
"No, kidding. Your mom made breakfast, Misty is still at her
apartment and Lily is with her, no sorry never mind, she's not. She left about ten minutes
ago," Daisy then walked out of Ash's room.
Ash got dressed, yet one thing crossed his mind, why were they getting
married. He then marched himself downstairs, to send off the invitations to all the
guests.
Ash arrived at Misty's apartment, he still had that question on why
people get married.
"Yes, oh, mmm," Ash waltzed right in and gave Misty a
romantic kiss.
"Hi Misty, here are the invitations, you have the stamps
right?" Ash asked, Misty nodded and got them from the coffee table. She looked into
his eyes.
"You know, you're the best guy I've ever met in these 21 years of
mine. You're so kind," she kissed him, "So mature," and again, "and so
sexy," and once more on the lips.
"Okay, so Violet addressed them, I didn't. Look, I have to go, I
have to mail these things, and oh yeah, we need to meet with the minister for the rest of
the wedding arrangements and for the reasons why we're getting married and stuff,"
Ash complained.
"Fine, but before you go, one last kiss?" Ash and Misty,
kissed in deep passion. Misty felt like crying.
"Bye, Misty," Ash then went into the hallway and closed the
door. As soon as he did, he stopped.
"Misty, I don't know what I'm doing. What is it that makes me want
to tell you that I love you. Something is telling me that I can't do this, am I ready for
this?" He thought out-loud.
"I can't tell you how much I love you, but is this the way it's
going to be, my fear of not being able to tell you," He kept still, he beat the wall
with his fist, and left.

After, mailing the invitaions he found himself at the
tuxedo shop. He had already, tried on twelve different suits, all didn't seem good at all.
"What's wrong with this one?" the owner asked.
"It's the collar, it's well crowding my neck," Ash responded.
"Not a problem," the owner immediately ripped of the collar
of the suit, it still looked as if there were no tears. Ash nodded in reply to the
ripping.
"Hey, um, why do people get married," Ash suddenly asked.
"Well, all I can say is, well, you know that people make others go
crazy?" the clerk asked.
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
"That's why we get married," He guffawed at his own joke and
but the suit in a bag.
"Well really, well, when two people love each other dearly, well,
they get married," He said.
Ash only nodded, took the bag, and left.
"Good luck boy," the clerk announced.
"Thanks," Ash soon left to get his suit back to the house.
Ash, put the suit in his closet, seconds later, Mr.
Ketchum walked in.
"Hi dad," Ash announced.
"Hey, son, so the big day's in three weeks," Mr. Ketchum
seemed quite strange as he spoke that.
"Yeah, um, dad, why do people get married?" Ash asked. Mr.
Ketchum seemed to jump back at that.
"Well, with your mother, well, I just couldn't imagine living
another day without her,"
"Is that it?" Ash looked surprised.
"Pretty much, why don't you go around town, the diner. That's
where I went, may be it'll work for you."
Ash nodded and headed out the front door.
Ash met up with Pikachu at the front door. He was
speaking with the Horsea near the pond. He waved good-bye to it and went to talk with Ash.
"Pikachu Pika? [where are you goin'?]" Pikachu asked.
"I've gotta go figure out something,"Ash said.
"Pika pi pika? [like what huh?]" Pikachu responded.
"Like why people get married," Ash said in a depreesed state.
"Pika pi pi chu pikachu pika pi, [don't know but I think it's
because they love each other]" Pikachu seemed concerned about his trainer.
"Thanks Pikachu. I wonder if there's such thing in a wedding for
best Pokemon," Ash chuckled a little.
"Pikachu pi pika, [well good luck then]" Pikachu shouted.
"Squirtle squirt squirt, squritle squirt [he's love sick, he'll
pass out later]" Squritle approached.
"Pikachu pika pi chu, [if he doesn't run into a pole,]"
Pikachu didn't finish his sentence, he seemed to not care entirely, but he did anyway.

"...Who won the last Pokemon league
championship, huh?" a man at the bar asked.
He looked very thin, and very old. Ash recognized him from the city
winery.
"John Pekay, or something." the bartender answered. Everyone
agreed with him.
"See, I told you, I know everything," he had a western kind
of voice that was kind of crakly.
"Okay, then try this one. Who won the 2000 Championship, ten
bucks. 2000 championship in pokemon powers, not battles but power?" a scrawny man
asked.
The bartender thought for a moment, "Gary Oak," he said.
Finally, he snatched the ten bucks on the counter.
"See, you can't stump me anything,"
Then Ash spoke up quickly, "Why do people get married?"
"Kid, are you planning to camp out here or what?" The
bartender joked.
"Kid, people get married because of the obvious reasons, why do
you think you would get married?"
"Well, it's Misty who I'm marrying, and well, I love her and I
enjoy being around her, and all that other stuff," Ash contined.
"Well, Misty, whatever her name may be, should love you for those
same reasons too. If not more. People get married because they love one another," the
bartender explained.
"Yeah that's it, that's all I need to know, thanks guys. Oh here's
a tip," Ash handed the bartender, twenty bucks.
"I wonder if I should be a marriage consultant," he said, he
then went back to cleaning the glasses.

Ash finally arrived at the chapel. The cleaning lady
was already vacuuming the floor.
It was a small old place, but it was very popualr in the suburb. It had
elegant stained glass windows and a large front door. Outside it seemed much smaller.
"I'm here to see the priest. Has a girl been by here?"Ash
asked the cleaner.
"Why yes, you're Ash right, she told me to give you this,"
the cleaner then left the room.
"Thanks," He opened it.
Ash heard Misty's voice reading the note.
'Dear Ash,
By the time you read this, I'll be leaving on a plane. I'm sorry, but I
just thought that I wasn't ready for this. I couldn't go on pretending that I was just as
mature as you are.' Ash started to picture Misty crying.
'I didn't want to do this. When you came over, I was so happy. I had
mixed feelings about this whole thing. I asked 'was I mature enough, strong enough, and
loved enough. I tried to tell you when you left, but when I looked out in the hall, you
were, gone. I'm Sorry Ash, just remember I'll always love you.
Misty Lynn Waterflower'
Ash arrived home, his parents were ready to leave for
the chapel.
"Ash waht are you doing home, you're supposed to be at the
chapel," Mrs Kethum spoke.
"The wedding's off," Ash said and he plodded into the house.
