During battle, success rates and damge dealt are influenced by the Zodiac signs. If the signs of two units have Good affrinity, then damage is raised by 25%. If they have perfect affrinity, then damage is raised by 50%. Conversely, however, if the signs of two units have bad affrinity, then damage is reduced by 25% and if they have the worst affrinity, then damage is reduced by 50%. While this often doesn't amount to a whole lot, in later, more decisive and dangerous battles, it can be the difference between victory and defeat. This information is also availible in-game using the select button and pointing at the Zodiac symbol.

NOTE: Monsters are considered unisex and thus will always have perfect affrinity with another human or monster of the opposite zodiac sign (You can never have worst affrinity with a monster, only perfect).
