SUMMARY- Xena's dying wish is for Gabrielle to step up and take her place. The bard accepts and becomes the new Warrior Princess. But when the Gods on Olympus declare war on the mortals, will Gabrielle be enough to stop them?

Part One
"Xena, throw your chakram, now!!!!" Xena turned to look at Gabrielle.
"Are you CRAZY!! If I throw my chakram, with the way Callisto's soldiers are positioned now, it'll break in half, when it hits the wall!!!" Xena and Gabrielle stood side by side, Gabrielle armed with her staff, Xena with only her chakram, a small bottle of wine, and a torch against an entire army. Callisto's army.
Callisto laughed evily. "Stuck Xena?!! Is your chakram more important than your life?!?!?!?!?"
Xena turned and faced the new goddess. "Oh no Callisto, " she whispered, "It's more important than YOUR'S!!!! AEIIYIYIYIYIYIYIYIYIYIYYAAAIII!" Xena screamed her battle cry as she flipped through the air to fight Callisto, face to face.
"XENA NOOOOO!!!" screamed Gabrielle. She had seen Callisto's power. She knew that Xena didn't have a chance. Xena took a swig of wine, and spit into the flame of her torch. A burst of fire hit Callisto. The goddess screamed in agony. But then,something strange happened. Callisto's eyes lit up and were now bright white.
"XEEEEENNNNNAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" she screamed. A bolt of white fire erupted from her body, blasting Xena into the wall.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!!"screamed Gabrielle, seeing her friend slam into the stone, and then fall to the ground. Callisto laughed triumphantly, and her and her army vanished. Gabrielle ran to Xena. "X..Xena?"
Xena's eyes opened. She looked into Gabrielle's eyes, and smiled. "Gab..Gabrielle. This world. It still needs a Warrior Princess. You...you. P..please Gabrielle. W..wear my armor. Use my chakram. Please. Be the new Warrior Princess..." Xena's eyes closed and Gabrielle felt her body go limp. "No..Xena..XENA!! You can't die on me!!! Not here not now. NOOOOOOOO!" Xena was dead. Gabrielle looked at the Warrior Princess, and remembered the wish Xena had told her a few years back. Xena had made her promise that if she had ever died, Gabrielle was to bury her next to her dead brother in Amphibolos.
Gabrielle sighed. "She wanted me to become the new Warrior Princess. Oh Xena, what am I going to do without you?" Gabrielle slowly unhooked Xena's chakram. It glistened in the light of the torches. "All right," she whispered, "I'll do it."

6 WEEKS LATER

Gabrielle walked up the road from Amphibolos. She had stayed there, with Xena's mother but knew that she must keep her promise. Wearing Xena's armor and weilding her chakram, Gabrielle set off, a new Warrior Princess. She joked to herself how she was now a bard, an Amazon Queen, and a Warrior Princess. She wondered how she was going to do all three things at once. Of course, she still carried her handy battle staff with her, but was now heading to her people, the Amazons. She needed training in how to use a chakram, and who better than her good friend Ephiny?
"Gab..Gabrielle!!!!!" a voice screamed ahead. "GABRIELLE!!!!!" The bard recognized it at once and ran towards the sound. "Ephiny!!" she exclaimed. Ephiny was bruised and bloody, and out of breath.
Gabrielle gasped, "Ephiny, what's happened to you." Ephiny's face went pale.
"The Gods, Gabrielle. Zeus, Hera, Ares...all of them! They've declared war against the mortals." Gabrielle nodded her head, and then immediately began treating Ephiny's wounds. She had already lost one friend, and was not about to lose another. "Are you sure it's the Gods?"
"Yes. There was a shower of enormous fire and ice bolts falling from the sky. I am the only Amazon left, besides you, in our tribe. I screamed as blocks of ice began hitting me again and again. And then, Zeus came down and screamed something about the mortals stealing the Chronus Stone. If it is not returned three sunsets from now, they will annihilate Earth."
"No, that can't be..." Gabrielle was shocked. What kind of idiot would steal the Chronus Stone? She knew how important is was to the Gods. But she knew it was impossible to find who stole the precious stone in just three days. "Ephiny,"she sighed. "teach me how to use a chakram."
Ephiny frowned. "Why?"
Gabrielle choked. "Xena is dead. She wanted me to take her place."
Ephiny still frowned. "B..but why do you want me to teach you how to use her chakram?"
"We're going up against the Gods."

Part Two

"YAH!" screamed Gabrielle as she threw her chakram. It ricosheed of three trees cutting them all in half before returning to her hand. Ephiny smiled. "You're a pretty fast learner aren't you?"
Gabrielle hooked the chakram back to her belt before coldly replying, "Only in a time of need."
Ephiny's heart felt like it had broken in half. Xena's death had drained the innocence from Gabrielle. She was and wasn't what Xena wanted her to be. Sure, she was now the Warrior Princess, but she was cruel and cold. The green in her eyes was now replaced with a stone grey.She almost frightened Ephiny. Ephiny shivered and then shook it off. Gabrielle was her friend,one of few. How could she even think to be frightened of her? It was getting dark. Gabrielle built a fire. She took Xena's old torch and watched as it lit.
"Ephiny," she turned towards her friend, "show me how to burn the hell out of my enemies."
Ephiny looked at the bard strangely, and then took a small pouch containing wine. Taking a swig, she held the torch out in front of her towards a tree, and spit into it. A huge burst of fire flew out of the torch and hit the center of the tree. The tree burst into flames. Argo neighed loudly. Gabrielle walked up to Ephiny, took the torch and wine and did the same to another tree.
"The Chronus stone," she said. "What powers does it contain?"
Ephiny sighed. "Ancient Amazon legend says that if a mortal has the stone, then that person will have the powers of a God, but ONLY if touching the stone. When the Gods have the Chronus stone, then all will be well in their kingdom."
Gabrielle looked at the stars and said, "what about a dead person?"
Ephiny glanced at her, and said, "If the stone touches a dead person butonce, then that person will be alive again, with no battle wounds or anything. Even if their body is all burnt up or something, if the Chronus Stone ever touched them, they would instantly be normal again.
"So if WE had the Chronus Stone, then we could revive Xena, right?"
Ephiny saw where Gabrielle was getting at. "Do you think that we can get it in time? I mean, all of Greece..."
Gabrielle laughed. "You said that anyone who had the stone would have the powers of a God. Well if that happened, then word would spread pretty fast, and...well, never mind, you get my point." But then Ephiny sighed. "But Gabrielle, the legend of the Chronus stone may not be true."
"In that case, the Gods better be ready for one hell of a beating."
Ephiny wiped a tear away from her eye. "Well, we better get some sleep. Good night Ephiny." Ephiny groaned, lied down and whispered, "Good night Gabrielle."
The next day, Gabrielle dressed, ready for battle. All of a sudden, a thought came to her. "Ephiny, where's your son?!?!?!?"
Ephiny smiled. "Don't worry Gabrielle, he's with the centaurs."
Gabrielle looked into her eyes. Seeing that she really was telling the truth, the two headed off to Mount Olympus.
When they got there, Gabrielle gasped in surprise. At the foot of the mountain stood about a hundred thousand men. At the front stood Hercules, Iolaus, Joxer, Meleager, Meg, and Diana all ready for battle. Gabrielle was pretty surprised at the Princess Diana for fighting, but when she saw her new battle skills she was glad. Behind the heros stood some evil warlords and kings whom Gabrielle had battled with Xena before. She was stunned when she realized tht all mortals, good and evil were willing to give their lives for the Earth. But then, she laughed when she realised that she was part of that group. She greeted Hercules, Iolaus, Joxer, Meg, Meleager, and Diana and told them of Xena's tragic death and her plan to revive her. She was about to introduce Diana, Meg, and Meleager to Ephiny, when all of a sudden someone screamed, "THE GODS..THEY'RE COMING!!!!!!"

Part Three

"THE GODS ARE COMING!!!!" Gabrielle spun around and looked at the person who spoke. It was Joxer.
"No,"said Gabby, "no...the enemy is coming."
Zeus, Hera, Ares, Aphrodite, Artemis, Callisto, Hestia, Helios...all the Gods and Goddesses stood in a line. "MORTALS OF MY KINGDOM!" bellowed Zeus. "RETURN THE CHRONUS STONE OR YOUR WORLD WILL PERISH, YOU LOUSY PIECES OF SCUM!!!!!"
Gabrielle screamed Xena's battle cry and in a furious rage threw her chakram. It slit Zeus's lip. The God instantly healed and then smiled wickedly. "CHARGE!!" he screamed. The Gods rushed down the side of Olympus, and the mortals screamed and rushed up.
"AYEEYIYIYIYIYIYIYYAEEEI!!" screamed Gabrielle. Holding her torch out in front of her, she took a swig of wine and spit. Hera screamed as she was engulfed in flames, before automatically healing. She laughed and then shot Gabrielle with energy bolts from her eyes.
Gabrielle quickly flipped out of the way, and snapped a kick at Hera's face. Hera blocked and flipped the girl onto her back. Then, smiling evily the Goddess was about to finish her off, when all of a sudden, she was thrown off the cliff!!! "HERCULES!" Gabrielle exclaimed happily. But then, Hercules gasped and fell to his knees. Then, he fell to the ground unconcious.
Gabrielle spun around to see the Goddess of Evil, Callisto. Caliisto laughed and tried to do to Gabby what she did to Xena. Gabrielle laughed and slapped her across the face with her chakram. The Goddess screamed and fell backwards. Since Callisto was a new goddess, she did not heal as fast as Zeus and Hera. Gabby smiled but then, something caught hold of her eye.Fastened to Callisto's sword was the Chronus Stone!!! Callisto had stolen it just to annihilate the mortals!!!
Gabby smashed Callisto's nose with her palm and then screamed, "ZEUS!!!" Everyone stopped and turned towards her. She smiled. "I FOUND this fastened to Callisto's sword."
Everyone gasped at the beautiful stone. Zeus called off the war, sentenced a punishment to Callisto, and then asked Gabrielle if she wanted anything from the gods. "Are the amazon legends true, about the Chronus Stone?"
Zeus smiled. "Yes, yes they are."
Gabrielle's eyes filled with hope at the thought of bringing back Xena. Zeus read her mind. "All right," he said. "But don't take too long."
"And so, Gabrielle revived her friend, and Callisto was banished from Mount Olympus...So, Xena" said Gabrielle. "What do you think? I mean, wasn't it a good story?"
Xena sat next to Gabrielle by the fire. "Well it was nice, except for the part about me dying and all."
Gabrielle laughed. "But for once I was the heroine!!!!"
Xena smirked. "Yeah, whatever."
"XEEEENNNAAAAA!!! YOU DON'T LIKE MY STORIES!!!!"
"Shut up Gabrielle."
