HOUSE CARD: IN THE ZONE

"The Franchise" Codie Thompson vs. Noble Kale
It was the man who wants to be president of the FWF taking on Noble Kale. Thompson tried using the scientific approach to wear down Kale, but Kale turned the tide taking things to the outside and roughing up Thompson. Kale hit "Dogma" and managed to put the self-proclaimed "Franchise" away. [16:54]

Henry Goldwire vs. Joe "Highflying" Turner
Henry Goldwire destroyed Turner in this match. It is believed that Turner was so embarrassed by this defeat that he immediately resigned after the match. Goldwire used "The Lights Out" sleeper to defeat Turner. [2:05]

Pop Culture's Superhero vs. "The Dragon" Michael Kerrigan
This match was also a squash. PCS wore down Kerrigan with a variety of manuevers. He locked on "Down Right Refreshing", his version of the Dragon Sleeper and got Kerrigan to tap out. [7:14]

Helix vs. "The Fan Flava" Wayne Roberts
The FWF's top dog proved convincingly why he is just that. Roberts tapped out to the Helix choke. He unfortunately did not make the most of this non-title match up. [3:39]

Blazer vs. "The Child Prodigy" Johnny Havens
Blazer made his triumphant return to the FWF by defeating one of the hottest rising stars in this sport. Havens never really seemed to get started and Blazer used "Possessed Soul", his version of the Razor's Edge to put him away. [5:34]

Sage vs. Venom
This match was quite exciting as the momentum went back and forth. Venom seemingly had the upperhand and just as he was about to put Sage away, out of nowhere, Sage rolled Venom up in a small package and got the three count. [17:51]

Birds of Prey vs. The Mercenaries
This was another very exciting match-up. Shrike and Condor controlled the momentum throughout the match. It seemed that the Birds of Prey were just about to wrap up the victory when Shrike had Rob Anthony on his shoulders, setting up for "Prey Slay '98", Steve Lewiston jumped in and clipped Shrike's knee. Condor missed and Anthony covered Shrike to get the victory. [10:45]

Billy Matthews vs. "Rage O' Fire" Jared Wells
Matthew tried to use a bit of psychological warfare against Wells and for the most part it seemed to work as Wells tried to avoid making much contact with him. The match was very close all throughout. The referee almost counted out both men as things got a bit heated on the outside. In the end, it was Wells coming out on top as he connected with the "Ragebomb" to get the victory. [28:11]
