McNicholls Arena - Promoter Scott Malec
(Fade-In: The camera is showing a computer as the Real Player icon pops up on the screen. The Real Player lights up with the FWF logo and explodes all over the place. The shot switches to Tony Ross and Victor Alvarez sitting at a large desk with the FWF logo behind them) TONY ROSS: "Hello and welcome to this edition of the Internet-only FWF House Card broadcast! I'm Tony Ross with Victor Alvarez and we will highlight all the events of the evening from the Pepsi Center in Denver!"
VICTOR ALVAREZ: "What a great show it was, as the FWF goes all out no matter where we are or whether we are on cable or not! Let's get right to the action!"
(The highlight reel starts up and the opening match of Lars Magellan vs. "Gentleman" Alex Graham is shown)
T.R.: "The show opened with a double debut match between two future stars, as Lars Magellan battled "Gentleman" Alex Graham in what turned out to be quite a brawl!"
V.A.: "Indeed, Tony! Graham immediately established his position by harassing the crowd, grabbing the mic and telling everyone that nobody in the arena could have a woman like his valet, Brandy Whine!"
T.R.: "And what a looker she was! The action got intense as the two men brawled in and out of the ring for several minutes, before settling in to a wrestling match!"
(Graham is shown hitting Magellan with an atomic drop, followed by an elbow drop, and then going up top for a senton bomb and a 2 count)
T.R.: "Several near falls occured until Magellan made a big comeback with the Denver crowd solidly behind him!"
(Magellan is shown blocking some rights and answering with some huge haymakers. Graham rakes his eyes and comes off the ropes and catches a boot to the gut followed by a big DDT from Magellan. Magellan picks him up and powerbombs him onto the turnbuckle and drops him down, holding him for the 1-2-3)
V.A.: "Magellan calls that the Beach Bomb, and what a devastating finisher it was, putting Graham away as the youngster from Venice Beach gets his first FWF victory!"
T.R.: "Another rookie on his way to success here in the FWF! Our next match featured another rookie, Chip "The Champ" Parker, taking on Nemesis!"
(Nemesis is shown coming to the ring, playing to the crowd and slapping as many hands as he can. He even pulls a small child over the railing and holds him up as he waves at the camera. As soon as Nemesis hits the apron, Parker drills him and Nemesis smacks the floor)
V.A.: "Parker wasted no time in showing that he was all business, as the Maine native took control for several minutes!"
(Parker is shown applying a variety of moves to Nemesis, including a piledriver, a rocker dropper, and crossface submission that Nemesis breaks by getting to the ropes)
T.R.: "The assault continued until Nemesis ducked a running clothesline, turned and planted Parker with a face plant! Nemesis then took control until Parker used a groin kick to block a suplex! Parker then hooked him up for a cradle suplex, but only got a two count!"
(Nemesis is shown kicking out, and Parker goes to the ropes and slaps them in frustration. Nemesis gets up and dropkicks Parker over the ropes and out)
V.A.: "The match then took to the floor, as the men battered each other into the railings and ring steps, and Nemesis rolled Parker back into the ring! Parker got right up and grabbed Nemesis coming into the ring, and whipped him into the turnbuckle, but Nemesis ducked a charge and locked on a standing sleeper!"
(Nemesis is shown with the sleeper locked on, and he turns it into a running bulldog onto his knee. Nemesis then mounts the turnbuckles and hits a crips 180 degree corckcrew splash and covers for the win)
T.R.: "What a spectacular move by Nemesis to seal another big victory, as he remains a force to be reckoned with here in the FWF! Moving right along, The Lost Souls battled Fed Up in the next match, and Fed Up dominated the much larger duo!"
(Fed Up is shown stunning the Lost Souls with high flying move after high flying move, delighting the Denver crowd. Brandon Goodbay hits a somersault splash while RJ Harris immediately follows with a moonsault butonly gets a two count. Goodbay knocks Max Punisher off the apron as Harris pulls him up and hoists him for a suples as Goodbay mounts the turnbuckles, leaps and flips onto Punisher making the impact of the suplex devastating. Fed Up secures the win)
V.A.: "Fed Up calls that move "Stick it to the Man", and stick it to the Lost Souls they did! The crowd loved every minute of this one as Fed Up dazzled them with their aerial assault! Could they be trouble for the New Breed in the future!"
T.R.: "Most definitely! Next, we have JD Badluck against "The Messenger" Skip Davenport, and JD Badluck shocked the world by immediately attacking Davenport with a rolling hurracanrana into a pin, getting the victory in posibly record time!"
(Badluck is shown going ballistic after his stunningly quick victory)
V.A.: "Davenport didn't know what hit him, and Badluck continues to improve here in the FWF! This certainly was a surprise since Davenport is by no means a slouch!"
T.R.: "Next up was Anarky vs. Golem, and this was just a violent brawl, with very little wrestling if any!"
(Golem and Anarky are shown beating the snot out of each other from pillar to post)
V.A.: "Then, Anarky grabbed Golem and whipped him into the ropes and immediately charged him and clotheslined him over the ropes, but something went wrong and Golem landed on his neck on the apron, possibly seveely injuring himself!"
(The sick bump is shown, and Golem hits the floor unmoving)
T.R.: "Victor, I don't wish injury on anyone, and as terrible a person I think Golem is, I hope everything is OK with him! Anarky managed to get Golem back into the ring to pin him, but Golem was motionless! EMTs came out and stabilized Golem's neck and carried him to a waiting ambulance!"
(Golem is shown being taken away as the crowd looks on somberly)
V.A.: "Nevertheless, Anarky gets the win and proves just how dangerous he really is! We have not gotten any details about the condition of Golem yet, but we will have an update at the next Battleground in Salt Lake City!"
T.R.: "After that near-tragedy, The Jobber battled Ricky "The Tank" O'Neill in another slugfest! The Tank tried to use his size to his advantage but it backfired on him in the end! After about 10 minutes, Tank had Jobber up in a powerbomb, but Jobber was able to wiggle free and drill Tank with a face plant and score the big victory!"
(Jobber is shown escaping the powerbomb and getting the pin after the face plant)
V.A.: "Jobber needs a few more matches like this to get back into the title hunt!"
T.R.: "Carlos Canyeta battled Maxwell Houz next, and its no secret that Canyeta is in cahoots with Michael Manson, and FWF Co-Owner Scott Malec sent Maxwell Houz to battle them at the last Battleground, as Houz tried to stop Pestilence from intefering against Suicide kIng!"
V.A.: "So Houz was hell-bent on taking Canyeta out!"
(Houz is shown chasing Canyeta all over the ring, trying to get his hands on him. He finally catches him and pounds him mercilessly, but Canyeta sneaks an eye rake in to stop the assault)
T.R.: "Canyeta was able to hold off the assault long enough for him to start working over the legs of Houz to take the big man off his feet, a good strategy for the veteran!"
V.A.: "But Canyeta has pretty much abandoned his clean wrestling past, as Talent Relations showed up at ringside to the dismay of the crowd! They didn't make their move for some time, allowing Canyeta to try to wear Houz down!"
T.R.: "But Houz must have had a caffeine surge, as he was able to fight his way to his feet and bludgeon Canyeta down to the mat! 'Jamar' hopped up on the apron and Houz went over to yell at him and referee Stu Fields was distracted as well! 'Ybok' threw a chair into the ring, but Houz was alert enough to turn and catch it before Canyeta did, and Houz absolutely blasted Canyeta over the head with it! Houz nailed him with the Last Drop and Fields turned and made the three count!"
V.A.: "Talent Relations then entered the ring and began to pummel Houz with the chair, that is until Suicide King ran in to make the save, grabbing the ring bell from the outside and clobbering both 'Ybok' and 'Jamar' over the head, opening them up! Then it was springboard planchas all around as the crowd ate it up! Suicide King then grabbed the mike and declared that he and Houz were even!"
(Houz is shown staring at Suicide King as he shakes off the chair attack from Talent Relations)
T.R.: "The next match was out of control right from the start! It was ludicrous! Asylum vs. The BYW Brigade in a handicap match for the Extreme Ring!"
(The BWY Brigade comes to the ring, and motions to the crowd, and shockingly, about 20 members of BYW climb the railing and enter the ring. Whitedust grabs the mic as he stares at Asylum)
WHITEDUST: Before we destroy you...I thought it would be only fitting that the innocent women who's LIFE your tried to ruin be present while you get beaten ruthlessly and lose your title...Daisy? Why don't you come out here....And bring your new roomies with you."
T.R.: "And none other than Daisy stepped out from behind the curtains, accompanied by about a dozen nuns, dressed in habit, and singing 'Amazing Grace'! It was unreal! The BYW Brigade looked like they had converted Daisy totally!"
V.A.: "And all the BYW guys attacked Asylum, and he was massively outnumbered! That is, until this happened!"
(Daisy and the nuns are shown pulling crowbars out of their robes and they rush to the ring, attacking the BYW goons)
T.R.: "Daisy wasn't deprogrammed at all!! She went to the aid of her master Asylum and saved him from the attack of the BYW Brigade! The Nuns and the BYW goons all spilled to the outside and brawled all over the arena and the crowd was in a state of disbelief! Daisy had managed to convert the nuns to her cause!"
V.A.: "But then, Whitedust and Bernard launched their attack on Asylum in the ring, battering him with street fighting, as well as launching a blistering aerial assault!"
(Asylum is shown kicking out after being nailed with a senton bomb as he laid on a steel chair. Some other insane high spots are shown, including Bernard crotching himself on the railing outside after a missed enziguiri, and Whitedust hitting a somersault plancha onto Asylum on the floor)
T.R.: "Whitedust then dragged Asylum back into the ring and placed the chair on his head and was about to attempt a guillotine leg drop when Daisy rolled back into the ring and dragged Asylum out of the way just in time! Daisy then took her crowbar and leveled Whitedust right in the knee! Whitedust fell in a heap and Daisy placed the chair onto Whitedust's face! Bernard rolled back in and threw Daisy out of the ring and hit Asylum with a deadly superkick, but Whitedust was able to break up the pin!!"
V.A.: "Whitedust and Bernard began arguing over who was going to pin Asylum! While they were bickering, Asylum clotheslined them both over the top rope! Asylum started battering them down the aisle, and Daisy even joined the fray with her crowbar! The battle went all the way into the parking lot!"
(Asylum, Daisy, and the BYW Brigade are all shown battering each other next to the BYW Winnebago. The door flies open and some BYW kids including Rabies, Testicle, and Scottish Larry grab Asylum and Daisy and pull them into the Winnebago, as it starts up and takes off)
T.R.: "And just like that, the Winnebago took off with Asylum and Daisy still in it!! Unbelievable! At this time, we have no idea what happened to them!"
V.A.: "I'm sure we'll find out at the next Battleground!"
T.R.: "Following this madness was the Frontier Title match! Stone Wolf defending his title against Suicide King!"
(Stone Wolf is shown trying to outflank Suicide King, as the two play catch-as-catch-can for a while. Super-quick manuevers are exchanged, including a double handspring elbow by Suicide King, but Stone Wolf takes the early advantage)
V.A.: "Some astonishingly quick moves were on display here as Stone Wolf and Suicide King decided to keep this a scientific classic! But that all changed shortly!"
(At the fifteen minute mark, Suicide King is shown pulling Stone Wolf into the crowd as referee Willie Bennett is desperately trying to get them back into the ring. Suicide King's valet Missy Fortune has what appears to be duct tape as Suicide King nails Stone Wolf a few times, and lays him out on a work table in front of some scaffolding. Suicide King climbs the scaffolding as Missy tapes Stone Wolf to the table. The crowd is going insane at this point)
T.R.: "Suicide King climbed the scaffold and performed a death-defying moonsault onto the Stone Wolf, splintering the table!! The crowd soaked this up, but Stone Wolf was up first!! Stone Wolf shook off the cobwebs and somehow managed to drag him back to the ring! Stone Wolf pulled a table from underneath the ring as Suicide King swung wildly at anything, hitting Willie Bennett on accident!"
(Suicide King is shown blindly flailing away defensively, knocking Bennett to the floor)
V.A.: "Bennett was down and Stone Wolf had the table set up! He brought Suicide King over, slammed him on the floor, and then pulled him up to the apron! He looked like he was going to powerbomb him onto the table as the crowd was in a frenzy! But Missy Fortune jumped on the champion's back and he let go of Suicide King! S.K. rolled into the ring as Stone Wolf was able to pull Missy off his back and he dumped her from the apron right through the table!!"
(Stone Wolf is shown dumping Missy onto the table from the apron, and the crowd eats it up. Stone Wolf is almost shocked at what he did)
T.R.: "Suicide King then pulled Stone Wolf back into the ring, and Stone Wolf punched him in the face and hit the Black Mountain Splash for the three count out of nowhere!! Immediately following this, Carlos Canyeta, Talent Relations, Minion, and Abel Wicks all ran down presumably to get revenge on Suicide King! They beat down both Suicide King and Stone Wolf until Maxwell Houz and Nemesis both came running down!"
(Maxwell Houz is shown charging with a thermos in his hand, with Nemesis coming shortly after)
V.A.: "Maxwell Houz then threw scalding coffee from his thermos in Minion's face! As Nemesis took on both of Talent Relations! Stone Wolf and Suicide King surged back, and they brawled with Wicks and Canyeta to the locker room! And finally the ring was cleared!"
T.R.: "What a night it had already been, but now, the Main Event!"
(Minion is shown having a cold rag applied to his face as Wicks returns to the ring, and the three other teams, Billy Matthews and Ricky Kabe, Nevada Smith and Jean Rabesque, and Black Sage and Darren Macmillan are all introduced)
V.A.: "Michael Manson decided to make his presence known as he came to ringside and took the mic!"
(Manson is shown staring at all the competitors with mic in hand)
MICHAEL MANSON: "Since McMillian is a tag champ....and he's wrestling in a tag match...the tag titles will be on the line. Furthermore for such a match we need a referee of honor..integrity...justice.....a man with direction...a director of creative the process if you will...and that man is Doc Silver."
(Doc Silver is shown coming to the ring in ref stripes)
T.R.: "Michael Manson declared the National Tag belts on the line even though Kevin Kearns is suspended! Sage and Macmillan protested vehemently but the match started! After some four way brawling, some order was restored as Darren Macmillan and Ricky Kabe ended up in the ring! They battled for a bit, with Macmillan stunning Kabe with several aerial moves before Macmillan slapped Rabesque on the chest and he had to enter the match!"
(After about 10 minutes Kabe and Billy Matthews work over Rabesque, and then Wicks is tagged in, and Manson hands him a strap, and he uses it liberally on Rabesque as Silver turns his head. Nevada Smith jumps in and clobbers Wicks taking the strap away and lashes Wicks viciously on the back. Nevada is immediately disqualified by Silver, and the crowd goes apoplectic. Smith and Rabesque then jump Silver and hit a spike piledriver and the crowd goes wild)
V.A.: "After Nevada was unjustly disqualified, Scott Malec and Joe Lebron had enough and came to ringside with Willie Bennett! Bennett physically dragged Silver out of the ring and Bennett replaced him! Manson had a fit on the other side of the ring as Matthews came in and attacked Wicks!"
(Malec is shown shouting at Manson on the other side of the ring as Mathews and Wicks tear into each other. The strap was confiscated by Joe Lebron)
T.R.: "Wicks runs and tags out to Black Sage, and he came in and beat Matthews all over the ring, as they will be opponents in that renegade four way match at the next pay-Per-View, which will be called FWF World Impact Y2K!"
(Black Sage is shown powerbombing Matthews, but Kabe stops the pin)
V.A.: "Kabe saved his team from a loss there, but Matthews continued to get punished! The combo of the National Champion and one half of the National Tag Team Champions unleashed some wicked double team moves, including Macmillan hitting a somersault leg drop off Sage's shoulders, a powerbomb leg drop combo, and Sage hitting a superplex from the top rope while Macmillan hit a frog splash on Matthews!! This would get the three count for the New Breed!"
T.R.: "Ricky Kabe would reenter the ring with a chair and plaster Sage in the back of the head, while Copycat jumped from out of the crowd and smashed Macmillan in the back of the knee with a crowbar! Copycat escaped quickly and Minion took full advantage on the legal man, Macmillan, and beat him senseless! Minion had already been burned by hot coffee, and the fact he was even in this match was incredible!"
(Minion and Wicks are shown making quick tags as they brutalize Macmillan, as a groggy Black Sage encourages some New Breed chants from the crowd)
V.A.: "But Macmillan was able to block a Wicks suplex and fought back hard and tagged in the champion! Sage came in refreshed and energized by the crowd and laid waste to both Wicks and Minion! Manson even climbed up on the apron and was knocked right off by Sage! Wicks jumped on Sage's back from behind, and Sage flipped him over, with Wicks' legs kicking Minion in the face in the process! Minion was blinded yet again and Sage grabbed him and hit the Black Plague second rope dominator for the win!!"
(Sage is shown nailing Minion for the win with his finisher, as Manson looks on in disbelief. Carlos Canyeta, Doc Silver and Talent Relations, all run to the ring and start brutalizing the New Breed as Wicks joins them. Minion eventually recovers and joins in too)
T.R.: "It looked hopeless for the New Breed with all these wrestlers pounding the life from them, that is until Nevada Smith and Jean Rabesque returned to ringside on Nevada's Harley, which seemed to be a slap in the face to Michael Manson's ban of Nevada's motorcycle at ringside! Maxwell Houz came running down soon afterward! They all jumped into the ring and started wading into the bodies, and with a resurgent Sage and Macmillan, Manson's band was cleaned out of the ring!"
(Nevada and Rabesque are shown cleaning house on one side, while Macmillan and Sage kick Talent Relations over the top ropes and out. Maxwell Houz and Minion brawl down the aisle)
V.A.: "This led to a staredown in the ring between the two fan favorite teams, and the Denver crowd hit insane decibel levels! Nevada called for the mike as the crowd quieted down to listen!"
(Nevada stares a hole through Sage as he speaks)
NEVADA SMITH: "Ya know somethin', Sage and Darryl, We're getting real tired of savin' your asses on a consistent basis, and then have to listen to you badmouth the both of us every week. It gets real old, and the only reason we came out here was to beat the crap out of Manson's flunkies! But, we seem to have a common enemy and we seem to be inadvertantly helping you out all the time, and I think it's high time for some payback! I think I should get a rematch at that strap ya got sittin on the table over there, Sagey! (crowd roars) Or, Darryl, when your partner ever gets unsuspended, me and Jean get a shot at those shiny tag team belts ya got! Whaddaya say!? I think that's a good repayment!"
(Crowd roars as Nevada throws the mic to Sage)
BLACK SAGE: "Well, Smith, you're just gonna have to get in line, pal! We got a four way dance for that belt, (points to the National belt at the timekeeper's table) the TRUE belt here in the FWF, and not that fake World Title YOU are fighting for in that silly tournament! Tell you what, no matter what happens at that Pay-Per-View, you'll get your shot, whether you win that piece of tin or not! I always said I'd give you a rematch!"
(Sage hands the mic to Macmillan)
DARREN MACMILLAN: "And if you two blowhards want a shot at the tag belts, you KNOW we ain't hard to find, its just that we have to take care of those talentless and useless Cats first! So get in line with the rest of the pretenders!"
(Macmillan throws the mic down and the New Breed leaves the ring, as Nevada and Rabesque never move their stares from them. Fadeout)
