Bio: Born Albert John Hinkle, Al's home life left much to be desired. His mother died shortly after his fifth birthday, and his father fell into repetitious drinking and occasional child abuse. Young Hinkle spent his early adolesence as what might be pegged as a slacker. He spent his days lazily, until a vehicular accident took the life of his friend Cody. Al, distraught that he couldn't save his best friend, vowed to make something of himself.

And then he met the legendary professional wrestler Benito Mendoza. Mendoza saw something in the young lad, and decided to craft him into a technician without peer. His training program (dubbed the Mendoza Mile) was incredibly vigorous; no one had ever managed to successfully complete it. Hinkle's cockiness and resentment of rules tended to interfere with training, but his stubborn spirit might have been what helped him make it to the top. He crafted an identity for himself as Alister Hayze the day his mentor died. Hayze's last promise to the old warrior was to make himself a champion, but only to prove just how great Mendoza himself was.

Hayze was originally entered into a southern promotion called Future Shock Championship Wrestling. Hayze became one of the top names in FSCW, as well as one of the most marked of men. He quickly earned the hatred of many wrestlers there, including "Dirty" Dak McCloud and the sinister Bothrops Nocturnus. Hayze never managed to make the championship he so desired. The FSCW fell apart after a few months, and Hayze, feeling himself a failure, overdosed on drugs in a motel near the promotion's headquarters. He was in a coma for two months.

Upon awaking, Hayze discovered that a new promotion had risen from the ashes of the FSCW: the World Wide Wrestling Association. And what was worse, an old friend was in danger. He had met Shane Venuti through Mendoza years ago, and the two had become good friends. Now Venuti was vice-president of the WWWA and was being terrorized by the deranged Abel Wicks. As he warred with the so-called "Ikon," Hayze made several strange alliances with his old foes McCloud, Nocturnus, and, perhaps most remarkably, forged an intimate friendship with Nocturnus' bodyguards Augustus Raekker and AngelX.

It wasn't long before the WWWA fell apart as well, and Hayze, again seeking direction and championship gold, found his way to the FWF. He brings his strange nomadic lifestyle along with him, and he is a sort of pop culture icon along the Southern highways. He always preaches his "901" lifestyle, which seems to involve much of the values professed at Woodstock. No matter what he does in his spare time, Hayze is always a top contender, and one of the most versatile wrestlers in the business.
