VISUALISATION

Another essential technique of spellcrafting is visualisation. Spells may be regarded as keys to unlocking powerful energy that through the manipulation of symbols may be directed towards a desired result. The ability to feel magic working and to direct it by visualising the outcome exactly as you would like weaves more potent magic than using precisely the right ingredients.

A successful spell is like a journey: the ingredients and actions are the vehicle, intuition is the map, visualisation is the fuel and the outcome is the arrival.

In visualising the outcome of a spell in fine detail and experiencing the joy of success before the outcome has happened, you are letting the universe know what you would like in your life. The universe is often very accommodating of your goals when you know what is best for yourself. At the end of every spell, and for as long as it takes afterward, imagine the outcome as you would like it in as much detail as possible.

Fear of failure and pessimism are forms of visualising an outcome which all too often attracts misfortune. Make a pact with yourself that at least for the period in which you perform your spell and for three weeks afterward you will suspend disbelief, substitute negativity with positive thoughts, and look forward to achieving your goal. Recognise that if your spell is not successful the universe has decided in its wisdom that your goal is not beneficial to you and that something far better is in store.

Visualisation is very simple for if you can dream and imagine, you can visualise. The basic difference is that when visualising you must fully believe you can achieve the goal at hand, then empower it with continuing positive thoughts. To this you can add the potency of spells for an even more powerful outcome.
