The fallowing is an indept interpretation of some screenshots, wich build together the introduction of the game. These screenshots are from the Japanese "Mask of the Mujula" site. To tell you the truth, there was text too on that site, but appearantly I don't speak any Japanese, so this is a free interpretion of me.
1. As for as we know the story takes place only a few months after the "Ocarina of time" end. Link meets up with Stalkid in a forest in Hyrule, Link doesn't know about Stalkid's evil thoughts, and that's how it comes, that Stalkid takes over the situation and steals Link's beloved Epona.
2. Stalkid leaves the place by entering a portal, Link fallows and falls through kind of a rabbithole, similar to Alice's Wonderland. That's how he ended up in Talmina. the parallel world of Hyrule. But not enough, Stalkid returns and gives Link the character of a Deku Scrub. Poor Link.
3. After taking a cool ride with his Flower-Glider, the first person Deku-Link meets up with, is the Happy Mask Salesperson from Hyrule Market.
4. The salesperson is in bad trouble, because Stalkid has stolen one of his numerous masks. "Stalkid again", Link says. "What's the stolen mask's name?" Link asks. "Majora's Mask", the salesperson answers. Moreover the Salesperson asks Link to bring his beloved "Majora's Mask" back.
5. Link makes his way to the village, wich is placed in the very middle of Hyrule. The first thing he can see is the big clock . But the village is quiet empty, isn't it. The translation of the bottom right picture: "I hope no chicks will see me as a Deku Scrub".
