Gargoyles are creatures designed by ancient cultures to guard homes and belongings. Gargoyles can range from an inch tall to hundreds of feet tall. Most gargoyles are made of stone, but they can also be made of other materials. Gargoyles are usually a solid statue, but some are fountains and others are simply just masks and faces of gargoyles.
