PSORIASIS Research

Nails Feet and Hands

It is very important to protect your hands and feet from household products, and other abrasive factors that exist in our every day lives.

Generally hand and foot Psoriasis can be improved by lessening moisture loss through bad shoes or gloves. Do not wear rubber boots as this causes your feet to perspire, but instead wear leather, or at least cotton socks.

Nail Psoriasis

Nail Psoriasis can be very painful to the point where nails will actually drop off, due to Psoriasis on the underlying nail bed.

The only treatment I have come across to help this situation was researched by Dr Mohammed Taufiq Kahn, a homeopathic chiropodist who revealed that marigold treatment, over a period of 6 months, can help Psoriasis of the nails.

This should be included with further action of soaking your nails in warm oil like almond oil.

Keeping nails short, and cutting them with a sharp pair of clippers, not scissors may help.

Other references I have come across refer to drinking half an ounce of gelatine stirred into water each day, without fail. This is expected to promote nail growth, and improve the condition of the underlyiing skin bed.

If anybody tries any of these treatments, please e-mail me back with the results.
