You take tablets morning and evening, along with a very easy to apply cream.
This consists of Fish Oil tablets, the quantity is related to weight, but they are easily swallowed and taste quite sweet, so apart from the cost this is not really an issue.
The cream is easily applied, completely absorbed within 1-2 minutes, leaves no smell, stain or sensation, unless the skin is brocken, in which case it smarts a little, but soon subsides.
I am pleasantly surprised by this treatment, which although five days into the treatment, has not irradicated my psoriasis, has slowed it down by about 40%. This means it is far more manageable, and allows me to avoid the STEROIDS for several days at a time.
The effectiveness may increase with time, which I will let you know.
The price of treatment is 80 Dollars for enough medication to last several weeks. I received two tubs of tablets (Fish Oil) and two tubes of cream. I would expect them to last at least a month.
The literature states that within 4-5 weeks, possibly longer positive results should be obtained, so how is it going. Once again my Psoriasis has not been irradicated, Oh Well, but the Skincare program is helping. I will compare it's effectiveness to Dovonex, since this is generally used and understood.
Psoderma is far easier and more pleasant to apply than Dovonex
This is extremely difficult to gauge, but I would say it is either as effective, or maybe a little bit less effective. I have also found that my facial hair growth has slowed by about 20-30% which since I hate shaving is a bonus.
I have still been able to avoid facial steroids using Psoderma, even though my facial Psoriasis is now moderately visible. This has to be a good thing at least as a temporary measure to give the Steroids a rest.
The SkinCare program has really slowed the rate of cell production, in some cases only one abnormal skin layer exists to the eye. However the lessions have not dissapeared by any means, and unfortunately, some new lessions have appeared, which may be completely unrelated, I don't know.
In conclusion I would say that Dovonex caters for me better than the skin care program, on effectiveness and on price. I would not discount the SkinCare program, since clearly they have a product that works to some degree.
