Psoriasis affects less than 2% of the UK population, and although the cause is unknown a strong link to an individuals genetic make-up and everyday stress is suspected. This problem may come and go, dependent on the individuals circumstances, but usually does not disappear.
Treatments come in several forms and intensities, in the way of topical lotions, shampoos and cold tar preparations (Denorex Shampoo, Neutrogena T/Gel Shampoo, DHS Tar Shampoo), methotrexate and UVA have all been used in Psoriasis.
