She looked at me from across the room, And I wondered who she was, The woman with the saddest eyes, Puzzled, bewildered and lost. |
Why was she in my house today? This woman, a stranger to me, Then she began to fade away, Were my eyes playing tricks on me? |
I thought that I'd imagined, This lady I had seen, Sitting in my lounge-room, Looking over at me. |
The next day she appeared again, Her eyes were filled with tears, Her heart was full of sorrow, I felt her pain, her fears. |
She'd lost her way, she was afraid, She had nowhere to go, Passed over from this life on Earth, To where? She did not know. |
As I looked into her solemn face, My eyes filled up with tears, I directed her toward God's light, And she slowly disappeared. |
I haven't seen the lady again, But I know she's found her way, And why she chose me to help, Still puzzles me today. |
Now as I remember the teary smile, The look, only I could see, And the feelings of her gratitude... I'm glad she came to me. |

This is an original poem written by BrandyG From an inspiration by a visiting sad and lost spirit who needed my help to find her way to God's light. The midi sound I have used in this page, "Stairway To Heaven" is dedicated to the sad lady who inspired me. |
