Transylvania: The Legacy of Caine

The Brujah

None

The Gangrel Animals

Mitru, The Hunter

He was the coterie's earliest mutual Cainite enemy... and one of the most deadly. He left his domain without a Prince in the mid 13oo's and has not been heard from since. But there are hair-raising stories which can give even the undead a fright: of a Beast unbound which prowls the night with a thirst unslakable, vengeance undeniable, wrath unfulfilled.

The Wild One, The Defender of the Wilderness of Schaalsburg

Captured by the fiendish Kiri Valkoinen for his own degenerate sport, rescued by the coterie, this Gangrel had no recollection of the man he once was or the Cainite he had become. Isabeau's song rescued what remained of his soul; his loyalty to her and his defense of her dream in physical form, with claw and fang and ire, are his thanks to her for his salvation.

The Lasombra Magisters

Lazaro Macil, Greedy Supplanter

In a carefully-conceived and far-reaching plot, Lazaro nearly succeeded in bringing down the Ramierez line permanently. What he had not counted upon were two things: the honor and the might of Alfonso Ramierez. Lazaro was destroyed... but one of the child-survivors of the tragedy, Agnese, mentioned there was at least one survivor of Lazaro's brood: Iago.

Lucita, Lady-Fair and Shadow Warrior

Using her beguiling courtly manners and excellent sense of fashion to encourage her enemies to underestimate her, her fighting skills are formidable -- if the rumors are to be believed. She met and befriended the coterie in 1198 at the ruins of the first fortress in Tihuta Pass. She travels almost exclusively with Anatole. A casual visitor to Alba Iulia and more frequently found visiting at Balgrad, she has not been heard from since 1233.

Rafael Alonzo Ricard, Alfonso's Childe

Retired Bodyguard

Embraced in 1321 after well over two centuries of loyal service and protection, he was rewarded with eternal life and the blessings of the Darkness only the Lasombra can truly know. Before his mortal death, Rafael passed on his combative artform to his protegee, Nikolai, so that the master he revered and the sire he respects might never have to worry over his own safety.

Agnese Falcon y Montague, Alfonso's Childe

Seneschal of Ramierez, Prince of Balgrad

In the early 13th century, a pretender to the Ramierez throne, Lazaro Macil, had the temerity and the brute strength to undermine Alfonso's ancestral estates. Before Alfonso managed to wrest back what was rightfully his, Lazaro had spitefully managed to destroy what was most precious to the Magister: his family. Of the regal ancestral line, only three children remained: one boy, Teodoro Ramierez, and his two cousins, Agnese and Mercedes Falcon. Though young when he first met her, Alfonso was immediately impressed by Agnese's courage and dignity. Five years later when he returned to see that all was in order, he took the now-teenaged Agnese back to Balgrad with him. In 1236 she became his Ghoul.

After proving herself to be a capable and conscientious leader, Agnese took a husband -- Vittorio Montague -- and the pair had seven handsome children before Agnese was rewarded with the Embrace in 1331. Vittorio became her beloved Ghoul, and she would often rule in Alfonso's absense. Their youngest son, trained dutifully by Rafael, became Alfonso's new bodyguard in 1331 as well.

Ramierez, Proginitor of a Legacy

Alfonso's Sire, he entered Torpor in the mid 1200's.

The Malkavian Fools

Anatole, Diabolist for God

This French Malkavian greeted the coterie with a hearty and fervent prayer, deeming them the "chosen ones of God." This is a title he has continued to apply each time he and his comrade, Lucita, have happened to cross paths with any of that esteemed group. Word has spread amongst the Cainites that Anatole has become a ravenous diabolist... has he strayed from his path of salvation? Or has he given over to the Beast and Malkav's madness?

Octavio, Bizarre Prophet

Another Malkavian, another prophet. Octavio is far more eccentric and in many ways is frightening; his age and power are vast, though his message is much the same as Anatole's: the coterie has the power to change the future. Can these madmen be believed?

Icky Nosferatu Lepers

Marusca, Former Prince and Brilliant Manipulator

A virtual unknown to the coterie, she was once a prince in the Siebenburgen, a mysterious figure who wielded great power and even managed to get her own childe, Ruxandra, to assume Nova Arpad's identity long enough to run the Ventrue's domain. Her title was stripped from her (not when Nova demanded it, but) as the Eastern Lord Ventrue attempted to replace the less desireable links in the chain with Saxon "worthies." Of those who assumed a position of influence, most were destroyed, some were eaten, and all were abused to the point where the coup failed. Now Marusca is out there... somewhere.

Zelios, Masterbuilder

This atypical Nosferatu possesses all the passion and possibly more talent than any Artisan. Architecture is his life. He has recently begun to unlock the secrets to his near-visionary experience of engineering: he had the coterie carve a special rune into the side of several fortresses of his own design in order to bind the demon Kupala. Add geomancy and kabbalism to Zelios' list of intense interests...

The Ravnos Gypsies

Yuri and Petrov, Wandering Ne'r-do-Wells

Ah, Yuri. And Petrov! What would life be without them? Boring, safe, and prosperous, most likely. Yuri (liar, leader, layabout) calls the shots and makes the deals; and Petrov (his cringing cohort in crime) is ever his dogged shadow. Well, that's not entirely accurate: one is as fickle as the other. Both however have one thing in common, which does not seem capable of changing: their Blood Oath to Alfonso.

Vile Followers of Set

The Sand-Snakes

Zelios has mentioned that they're after him, after some kind of occult fact-finding mission in Egypt; Alfonso managed to perform the Amaranth on one fairly powerful Serpent, and keeps another staked in his basement -- or is that Deacon's dungeon? The laborotory seems to be the most useful place for them... but staked in chains on a rock at noon seems to be the safest.

The Toreador Artisans

Sir Aramis

Knight of the Chanticleer

Isabeau's mortal brother and clanmate, they share a Sire as well -- evidently one cruel, uncaring, and one neither of them cares to elaborate upon. His devotion to his faith and honor, his loyalty to his sister and Knightly Order, and his dedication to the chivalric code are impressive. Though there seems to be something darker still lying just beneath the young Toreador's gaze: merely hinting at the evil he and his Order are sworn to combat.

Ardan of Golden Lane, Deacon's Sire

A dedicated and conscientious scholar who spends most of his time researching ways to improve upon defenses for his chantry and keep Ceoris well supplied, Ardan chose Deacon for the Hermetic apprentice's skill, intelligence and innate will to survive and prosper.

Celestyn, Librarian of Ceoris, Sire of Ardan

One half bookworm, one half fearless adventurer, Celestyn would travel any length to explore a secret or danger. Dauntless and humane, he follows in the tradition of mages-turned-vampyr who believe they have gained immortality to make the world a better place and to advance the cause of Magic.

Etrius, Regent of Ceoris, Defender of Tremere, Sire of Celestyn

Easily the most human of the Council of Seven, Etrius has retained what is best about mankind and strives to discover the heights of what is good about being undead: a thankless and oft-times ridiculed stand.

Goratrix, Traitor

He gives the Usurpers a bad name. It's no wonder the Tzimisce hate the Tremere so, after spending a little time with this unrepentant magus, whose maniacal lust for power, avarice and duplicity seem to know no bounds -- which the coterie discovered the hard way when they were asked to "escort" him to Ceoris to face the Council for crimes against Clan and kin.

Tremere, Antediluvian

Aren't you glad you met him? Isn't it just great to know he's out there... somewhere... and he knows your name?

The Tzimisce Fiends

Dragomir Basarab, Diabolist

He lives on the fringes of Alba Iulia, is Sherazhina's brother, and he ate his Sire, his great grand-father, because... it was dinnertime.

Radu, Voivode

In general, it is easily agreed that the less said about the Fiends, the better. Radu seems to be an exception to this rule. The Count of Bistria must consider himself fortunate. He did not meet his Final Death with the Mongols overran his domain in 1248. Though nothing has been heard from him since, rumors still abound...

The Ventrue Patricians

Nova Arpad, Waning Power

When first mentioned, she wasn't herself: Ruxandra of Clan Nosferatu, acting under Marusca's device (and possibly with Mitru's aid) had assumed the Council of Ashes founder's guise and had been ruling in her stead. Nova has never been the same. A seneschal appointed by the Eastern Lords has been assigned her. You know, to help out.

Otto the Just, Puppet

Of all the Saxon Ventrue appointed by the Eastern Lords in a desperate effort to maintain Germanic Patrician presence in the Slavic regions, Otto is the only one who survived. Someone's pulling his strings... but who?

Vencel Rikard, Prince of Transylvania

The coterie's first patron, he is the reason two more of the seven domains of established by the Council of Ashes were granted princes which helped the land which lives in the shadow of the Carpathians grow.
