Welcome to Draconia 5: The Final Sanctuary

Well as you all know Blazewing is from A realm called Draconia 5. So I Thought I'd take the time to give you a little bit of history about the realm.

DRACONIA 5 Generalities

For the inhabitants of Draconia 5 is the final sanctuary. A Place Where Dragons can live in peace with humans and humanoids. It is possibly the only Utopia in the Galaxy.

Location of DRACONIA 5

Draconia 5 is located in The Gamma Draconia System.. It is A ten planet system who's star is an White star. Draconia 5 is the Fifth Planet in the system. It has a pure and relatively thick atmosphere. This planet was and still is thought to be a gash Planet. well what the outsiders don't know won't bother them.

Physical Features Draconia 5 is a planet with a great variety of Topography. The north Half of it is not enha known to be enhabited, because most of it is ice. as for the southern half well it is centered on mainly one Landmass. This landmass has Huge mountains on the east side of it. These are the Silver Mountains, and this is where Rutharth Settled down and it became the first enhabited area.

THE SILVER MOUNTAINS These are the Largest mountains in the known area of the planet. They Shimmer like the have ben covered with Silver foil, hence the name. Riddled with caves they are though to be rich in gems and gold, however i would not recommend going into the cave as that is where dragons live. From The Mountains a water fall drops several hundred meters, into a puer and clear river. wich first flows into a lake then into a stream, wich feeds the south end of Silver Mountain Province.
The southern part of the continent is covered with many thick forests and many glades.

The Forest The Forested region is very pretty. It is in strips of forest alternating with glades and medows. The Main city here is called Hamlet, it sits on the edge of the forest. In the forest it is rumored that magical elves live. This was proven about 400 years ago when a gren dragon crashed in the woods. That story is in the Archives and is top secret, sorry...
Much of the rest of the continenet is covers with open fields and many streams and Lakes.

History of Draconia 5

Draconia 5 was settled but the survivors of a greatwar on another world. this other world's location is unknown,but the survivors according to Rutharth Sunstar, the first inhbitant other that the Firelizards "They Just Appeared in a rainbow of colored Flashes of light.". at this moment in time the best scientists are studying planes walking and exactly how for thru space and time one can go. For right now that is the main theory.

The Government

The Government of Draconia 5 is headed by a king and under the king there are two councils.

THE KING: The King or queen has traditionally always been a gold dragon, but this tradition may not last.the current reigning king , Juno Goldenscale has a long family History. The history of the king has ben relatively unchanged. The First queen was Moonfire, but died ten years after she became Queen. After Moonfire died Julian Goldenscale (her younger brother) and his wife Moonglow took the throne saving the Line of Goldenscales who rule to this day. The Current King is Juno Goldenscale, The Current queen is Harmony Goldenscale, they have three Children. From oldest o youngest Prince Miles Goldenscale,Princess Mistral Goldenscale andPrince Juno Goldenscale
THE COUNCILS: There are two councils that are under the King.

"The Coucil of Draconic"; is the council just under the king that is composed of 12 Dragons,they oversee the dragons of the realm, in past they used to oversee the Entire Realm. Until this centrury the council of Draconics was traditionaly Filled With Silver Dragons, but this year a young White Name Blaze Wing of Sunstar sat on council.So for the first time in the 800 years of recorded history there is a break in tradition..

"The Council of Mana: This one is just under the Draconic. it was formed to keep the peace and stop the humanoids from protesting unfair treatment, it oversees the Humanoid Population and is made up of 12 people. They are varied in age, race and professions. The reason for this council's forming was that many humanoids that came to this world began complaining that soince they make up about 1/2 the population they too should get a say in it..King Freyath Goldenscale,was the King resposible for creating the Council of Mana.
WHY IS IT THE "LAST" SANCTUARY?
Draconia was settled more than 1500 years ago by Rutharth Sunstar. The Reason Rutharth Came to Draconia 5 was to escape the aftermath of a great war on his homeworld. His original home is not known to this day, for he died about 150 years ago and anything he didn't write down was lost forever. however there are rumors that his sons may have information about the past as known by Rutharth. He lived on The Planet for a hundred years before he Met Brenda, A blue dragon from a dark realm. She Didn't really tell much about her realm just that she was glad she was away from it they had no children until 200 years ago. Ruthe lived alone and isolated for just 100 years, then more survivors of the great war came to the planet. Well as you can imagine he was very surprisedand very relieved. Soon more being from other worlds came to live on Draconia They all worked together to set up all the aspects of a civilization. This is how the nickname "The Last Sanctuary " Came to be.
CURRENT HAPPENINGS
- The 20th of Sun's Height 3rd century (August 20 2397):Blaze Wing Of Sunstar Becomes the First White Dragon to sit on council.
- The 15th of Color 3rd century (September 15 2397): Diplomats are sent to westwind to try to stop the enslavement of dragons there.
- The 20th of Color 3rd century (September 20 2397): King Goldenscale Decrees Dragonriders Banned in Westwind, however in the reast of the realm the dragon and potetial rider Must come before the joint coucils and the king to become dragon and rider.
- The 30th of color 3rd century (September 30 2397): Armies form in the major cities and begin training for possible Millitary action in Westwind
- The 10th of Winters hold 3rd century(December 10 2397): Westwind Declares civil war on the rest of the Realm , Armies are sent into westwind to stop the war.
- The 26th of Winter's Bane 3rd century(February 26 2398): Icy Dark Takes hold, The Two Moons Of Draconia 5 Eclipse each other and the sun, Plunging Draconia into total darkness, the temperature lower and snow falls no matter what season it occurs in, Icy Dark Lasts for 7 days.
- The 11th of first rain 3rd century(april 11 2398): The Civil war with Westwind Ended at 2400. a flight of black Dragons led by Onyx Dreams, warrior of Thorberry, infiltrated Westwind Castle and Slayed the Queen Of Westwind.
- The 5th of Green 3rd century (May 5 2398): Westwind Declares Emergency status, and requests aid from the king, a hearing will commence to decide if westwind will get aid.
- The 23rd of High Sun 3rd century (July 23 2398): The hearing about Westwind is adjourned, the decision, Westwind wil get one foutrth of the amount of the aid they requested.
- The 27th of Sun's Bane (September 27 2398):With record low temperatures, for the time of year, (15c at the lowest) Tking Goldenscale feared the snowfall would be early and sent 5000 into westwind to rebuild what was in ruins, and to make sure every citizen there had a place to stay.
