Ok, how many of you have ever got into an argument about who lines up where or who does what just because of their rank. I find it kind of pointless, lets put ourselves in a sparring situation, you are a black belt in your style and you are sparring against a begginer, naturally you usually have one of two thoughts #1 "I'll go easy on him this time" or #2 "I am gonaa pummel this guy!". But have you ever considered this, what if before they started in your style they were a black belt in another style? I will bet very few have considered that thought before sparring a new opponent. The only reasons for belts is just to help people learn about respect and to show the persons current martial arts KNOWLEDGE, notice I did not say SKILL. All I am trying to say is regardless of rank all true martial artists should be treated equally regardless of age, rank, race, sex etc........ Well I guess next month I will have another little bit of advice.
