Book Review

You enter a full room much like a library. Actually, It's almost exactly like a library, except that there is a lot of noise. Everyone is talking. A squirrel walks up to you and says" Welcome! Find a table and recommend a book to someone. If you want to find a book, Look at a shelf on the wall." There's a table...

Here is a book review. People can recommend books here, even if their not about Redwall. Just email me this info: book title, author, genre( fantasy, sci-fi, ect., ect.), summary, POMASC name, Email, and anything else you want ( rest of a series, rating(1-10), ect., ect.).

Title: Foundation

Author: Isaac Asimov

Genre: Sci-Fi

Summary: The great psychohistorian, Hari Seldon, sets up two foundations at
the opposite ends of the universe becuase the great Galactic Empire is
falling. With the help of psychohistory, he predicts that the galaxy will
fall into a period of barbarism for 30,000 years; unless he intervenes. After
the establishment of the two foundations, the galaxy will only suffer 1,000
years of barbarity. This first book tells of the first century or so of the
first Foundation. I loooooove Isaac Asimov's books; they're sooooo gooooood!
This series was the first, last, and only series to recieve the Hugo Award for
best Science Fiction series ever! ( at least I think it is the only series to
recive it : ) All of his books are GREAT!

Extra: The whole series is (in chronological order): Prelude to Foundation,
Foundation, Foundation and Empire, Second Foundation, Foundation's Edge,
Foundation and Earth, and last but not least, Forward the Foundation. Isaac
Asimov has been dead for, I think 6 years now : ( His books are FANTASTIC,
though. He's written a number of other books, especially short stories. He
also has his own non-fiction, science series, and they're funny! *NOTE* - he
did write some children's books, but his books are not really for kids. Not
that there's anything gross, he doesn't write gross things; it's just that I
don't think little kids would get his books.

Title: Ender's Game

Author: Orson Scott Card

Genre: Sci-Fi

Summary: This book is about this little kid named, Ender. He's training to
become the general of a huge army to fight off the Buggers. There's a lot of
mental strain, and who knows whether he'll make it through alive or not?!
Find out for yourself, read it! This is a good book; even though it's more
than 300 pgs., I read it in one morning! It's pretty good, alright!

Extra: Again, this is the first in the series. The series is, in order again, Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind.
I've only read, Ender's Game, so I can't vouch for any of the other books.

Title: The Dark is Rising

Author: Susan B. Cooper

Genre: Sci-Fi, I think

Summary: This kid discovers that he has powers, and that his destiny is to
destroy evil. It incorporates some King Arthur stuff, and is not a little
kiddy book! Read it!

Extra: This book is the second of the series, the Dark is Rising. The whole
collection in chronological order: Over Sea, Under Stone, The Dark is Rising,
Greenwitch, The Grey King, Silver on the Tree. I HIGHLY recommend the entire series!!!!! Susan B. Cooper is also the author of the Boggart, another famous book. Also, The Grey King has won an award, but I forget which one.
