Here is the online version of our rulebook. This is to be used by our players and as a sample of how we are conducted for those who are interested. The rules are kept as simple as possible to avoid an misunderstanding. These are up to date as of April 5, 1998.
1. All those participating in the battle are to fight for the fun and the glory of winning, no personal disputes are to be settled in combat.
2. The judge (or judges) will have the final word in disputes, failure to cooperate with the ruling will result in suspension or expulsion from future games.
3. Everyone is to understand that it will hurt sometimes due to the nature of combat, but all participants will attempt to keep (to the best of their ability) the power of swings and blows to a minimum.
4. Head shots will happen. These types of blows tend to hurt a bit more than others. All participants will not attempt a head shot under any circumstances. An intentional head shot will result in disiplanary action at the judges decision.
5. Shots the groin will not be tolerated, on purpose or not. Attacker will not recieve any points for the blow and the opponent will recieve enough time to regain himself. The judge will make the final call on points.
All rules are final. Any devation from them will not be tolerated. We hope that these are simple enough for everyone to understand. Any questions can be mailed to The Medieval Role-Playing League .
