Out
of the ground appears the head of a little hedgehog like creature. It
digs it way out of the ground, flips into the air, and then shoot out a
huge beam of light out from it forehead and onto all allies party member.

after Edea Speech, you will have to go and rescue Rinoa. In the President
Mansion you will come across two try-hard lizard look-a-like named
Shumerke. Make sure you draw Carbunkle from them.
