Tahlia was born in the year 1876, in the tiny village of Ruby Falls. Her parents were merchants, and quite wealthy for their occupation. She had a normal childhood, nothing too extravagent, school and friends, and life in the village filled her days.

She matured quickly. Her intoxicating features drawing the eyes of any male around. She lost close friends due to jealousy. Tahlia became a loner, using her hours of solitude to journey the areas around the town. The countryside held many secrets and each new one intrigued her even more.

One afternoon of riding brought her to an abandoned house. It was quite large compared to even her standards. Her curiosity peaked, she tied the horse to a tree, walked up to the door and knocked. Getting no answer she tried the knob. Suprised to find the owners left it open, she went in.

In the front room were riches she never dreamed of. Mirrors the size of the wall, beautiful pictures done in paint, and furniture of the softest fabrics. This was too much for her to handle. She continued searching for any inhabitants, and found none.

Noticing the sky getting darker, Tahlia decided to head towards home. She walked back through the foyer and out onto the porch. Her horse was gone. Knowing that she did tie him up, she began calling for him, thinking he was grazing somewhere nearby. He didn't come to her.

Feeling defeated, and fairly sure she was stuck in the house for the night, she curled up on a chaise covered in silk and fell asleep.

The dreams that filled her head that night never left her thoughts.

She dreamed that she was awakened by a beautiful man with thick dark hair and bewitching green eyes. He told her his name was Nathanial, and he wasn't going to hurt her. Her thoughts were jumbled as she stared into his eyes. Slowly he brought his lips to hers. They were soft like brushed velvet. He trailed fluttery kisses down her neck, and she was overcome with emotion. She felt a quick prick and he kissed her neck harder. A soft moan escaped her lips, and it seemed to her that as soon as he began kissing her he stopped.

"Forgive me, my love, forgive me."

And with that he was gone.

The dark bruise on her neck only made the dream more real to her. How could one explain this? It was unbelievable even to her.

The first rays of morning drifted through the sheer window coverings. It was harsh on her eyes, as she could barely look at the light.

Tahlia stumbled quickly out the door, to find her horse tied where she had left him.

She rode hard and fast home. Her parents had been frantic trying to find her. She explained to them that she had ridden to far and spent the night under the stars. They believed her, and she was to scared to tell them what she really did.

That night, she felt she didn't need to sleep, and she wandered the streets of the town, noticing the way her hearing was suddenly better. She heard the heated conversation of her neighbours, even through closed doors. She could see clearly in the dark, picking out figures yards and yards away, that she knew she wouldn't have seen before. What was happening?

A cramp ran through her stomach and she heaved the contents of her stomach onto the ground. She doubled over in pain, and suddenly he was there. Weakly she reached up a hand a ran it down his cheek, "You...are...real"

"Yes my dear, but you must come with me now, before this is found out"

"But, what is happening to me?" Tahlia choked out.

He gently lifted her into his arms and began walking away from the town. "You my love, are becoming a vampire. You will be immortal for all time, and never need food or water again."

"A blood drinker?"

He nodded, "Yes you will feed on the blood of humans, and must stay out of the sunlight."

And so she became a vampire, and has been ever since.

She watched, with Nathanial at her side, as her small village slowly grew larger over the decades, and became a large city. She fed on the people of Ruby Falls.

In 1999, she thought of starting a nightclub, the perfect business for her. She bought the building under an assumed name and slowly it grew popular. It was named Thornblood.

She was was now having the best time of her immortal existance.
