Monet was waiting in a large,dark and naked room. All the room contained was a large computer screne imbeded in the far wall and a conferarence table with chairs. The walls were metallic and cold. They gave Wolverine the chills. Being a reluctant member of the X-Men, this is not what Cicila Reyes had in mind when she woke up this morning. 8:00am wake up 8:35am eat cornflakes 8:45am get draged into another demension. Penance had not liked this from the start. Ever since the pink door swallowed them up. At least she was with friends. Choosing their weapons was Jubilee's favorite part and now she was throwing her mini oozie up into the air and catching it.
"That is so infentile,Jubilation." Monet said to her teammate.
Jubilee looked at her and stopped throwing the gun. "I'm not doin' anything, M!" She stuck her tounge out at her.
"We have no room for adolecents on this mission." She retorted.
"M's right darlin'."Logan said,checking the ammo in his plasma rifle. "This is serious."
"More than you know, Logan." Cable said,walking into the room with Clarice. "Blink brought you all here to stop Apocalypse-"
M cut him off."Why only the five of us? That is suicidal. Why not also retrive the other X-Men as well?"
"Because..." Said a woman walking into the room. "Quantum theory dictates the same mass can not coexist in the same space and they would cohease."She seemed vaguly familiar,but neather M,Penance nor Jubilee could place her. She was holding her plasma rifle so that it was blocking the right side of her face. "In this demension, your alter selves are dead."
"What a comforting tought." Reyes said under her breath. "Who are you?"
The woman lowered the rifle and uncovered a white face with a black spot over her eye. The other half of her face was human.
"Call me Domino."
Jubilee's mouth dropped open.
"It's good to see you again Shockwave."She said as she smiled at Cecila. "Monet, Jubilation, Yvette, Shockwave. Come with me." Domino said to them as she walked out of the room. Monet looked at Jubilee and Jubilee shrugged. M exhailed and followed Jubilee,Penance, Cecila and Domino.
Shockwave? Reyes thought, confused.
The walked down a long,dimly lit corridor. Monet looked around as Domino spoke.
"...have to pass a series of tests. Twelve to be precise. Any questions?"
"Physical or mental tests?" M asked.
"Both."
"What is the purpose of it all?"
Domino whirled around. "Excuse me?"
"If we are the last hope for the world,what is the purpose of this process of elimination. You'll need all the help you can get." M said as the five entered another large room full of obstructions to hide behind and gymnastics equipment.
"I want to see if you have what it takes." Domino said as the door slid shut behind them.
M stopped and folded her arms across her chest. "We're X-Men." She said simply, starring coldly at Domino. Jubilee walked over to M and put her hands on her hips. "Yeah." She said as she popped her bubble gum. Penance growled, daring Domino to challenge her. Reyes was indifferent. "No.You're not. Their are no X-Men. You have no place. You have been exiled. That is why you are called the Exiles."

"Very good." Said Domino as Jubilee passed the second to last test. "Now for the final test."
"And what might that be?" M asked,whipping the back of her neck with a towel.
"We have a fully funcional sentinal. Your job is to find the control panal on the back and shut it off."
"That's simple." M said as Domino left to go to the control room. "Jubilee,you,Reyes and Penny distract it as I fly behind it and look for the control pad."
"Check." Jubilee said,saluting.

"5...4...3...2...1...0...Begin." Domino said as she pushed the button signaling the begining of the sim.

The lights went out. This was not a problem for M,who could see in the dark. Jubilee lit a kenetic firework and could see only a few feet ahead. Penance slinked soundlessly through the course. All that was visible of her where her glowing clear blue eyes. Reyes hated this already. She had severe sentinal-phobia.
The sentinal was lumbering into the large room and thrusting his fist in all directions.
"Hey,Ugly!" She shouted. "Over here!" She shot a firework at it.
/\Scaning for present mutants. Found: one mutant of unknown class. Designation:DESTROY/\
The robot moved towards Jubilee. She ran towards a wall that looked like something out of a Picasso painting and hid behind it.
Monet was flying towards the robot. She caught a glance of Yvette stalking the machine. She glided up and landed on its back,feeling around for the control pad.
"Merde! Where is it?!" She said under her breath.
Penance didn't understand the term 'Sim' and to her, this was very real. She was not going to let her friends get hurt. She sreamed a high piched warcry, jumped and dug her fingers into the sentinals leg. She climbed. After moments,Penance reached the breast of the machine. She then jumped onto the forearm of the sentinal. With every ounce of strength she possessed,she dug her fingers into its wrist. Deeper and deeper she pushed her hands into the metal, until her elbows were into the arm. Still,it was not enough. She raked her toes along the arm,making a nice,deep trench. She was exhusted. She would not-could not stop. Finally, she dug her way to the other end of the arm. Penance grabbed the lip of the hole and swun down the wrist, effectivly distroying the support that held the wrist onto the hand and severing the hand from the arm. Pleased with herself, she watched the fist fall to the ground
Jubilee was a poor judge of timing. Jumping out of her hiding spot,she failed to see the big fist crashing down.
"WHOA!!" She shouted as she dodged to the left.
"AHHRGGG!"
/\Error..Error...Sim terminated/\
"What happened?" asked M as the lights went on and the sentinal returned to its shed.
"The sentinal's hand became disembodied?" Domino asked herself as she ran into the room. They ran over to examine Jubilee. Reyes looked at Jubilee's leg and found that part of the hand landed on her leg,breaking it.
"How did this happen?" Domino demanded,looking at the scratch marks on the wrist. Penance shambled out from behind a block and crawled towards them.
"Penance did it." She said quietly. "Jubilee alright?"
"She'll be fine. If I can set and cast her leg."
"Compassion Shockwave? That is more than I expect from you." Domino smirked.
"Of course I have compassion! I'm a doctor and she's a child! And I don't know who you think I am Miss Two-Face,but my name is Doctor Cecila Reyes. Not Shockwave."
"Well Shockwave,at least your attitude is still the same."
"C'mon." M said as she lifted Jubilee. "Are their any medical facilities in this place?" Monet asked Domino.
"This way."

MEANWHILE

"So, Cable," Logan said sitting at the conference table. "Where are we and what exactily is goin' on?"
"Three years ago,Charles Xavier died. Apocalypse saw this as his cue to take over the world. So the X-Teams came together and attemped to destroy him."
"It didn't work,huh?"
"Of course not. The surviving X-members are in the PITs"
"Pit's?"
"P-I-T. Physical Inventory Tubes."Clarice put in. "Sinister is in the first stages of creating super mutants for Pocky."
"Pocky, eh? Cute. Where are we?" Wolverine asked again.
"The Savage Land. This base is underground. It is combined the reckage of Avalon and the last of the Shi'ar technology. We are invisable to any scanner." Cable said,fiddling with a conrtol panal.
"Fancy."

M was in her quarters that where assigned to her. She paced back and forth,thinking the situation through. She walked over to the replicator and pushed various buttons. Is this Shi'ar technology? She asked herself as a bowl of rocky road ice cream appeared.
"Deffinatly Shi'ar." She said aloud as she sat at a small glass table. After all that's happened,with her and Jonothon, losing Synch, Skin's recent mental condition. All she wanted was a little R&R. But NOOOO! I'm sent to another demension where Apocalypse is lord and master. She thought sarcastically. I finally get some happyness in my life,then it's gone! God,It has only been a few hours and already I miss Jonothon. I said what I felt and he was about to say something. But then that Damn portal.... Monet let out a whiny moan and put her head in her hands.

"Remind me never to break another bone ever again in my life." Jubilee said.
"I know it hurt,but-"
"Shockwave,Jubilee. We need you in the war room now." Domino's face appeared on a screen.
"Where is that?" Jubilee asked.
"The room you were in this morning." Domino said,impatiantly.
"Right." Reyes said.

"What Shock- ...er ...Cecilia said to me earlier struck a cord with me." Domino said after all the Exiles were seated at the conference table. "Not being of this demension,you know nothing of yourselves. The files in this computers are the resources we can give you. That and memory. Clarice." Domino sat and Blink rose towards the control pad and punched buttons. The screen flickered and a three demensional moddle of Wolverine appeared with a list of stats next to it.
"Logan."Blink said. "You are a lot more free and never made the progress that you made under Xavier's tutlege. After the capture of your comrads,you felt that you have let evryone down. You became angier than you ever became. You turned your rage towards youself and commited suicide."
Logan snorted and Jubilee looked over to him, wishing she could say something,but knowing she shouln't.
"Monet St. Croix. You are the twin sister of Penance and had imence Psionic abilities. You were captured into the PITs. You escaped somehow and were killed by Emplate."
"Jubilation Lee. You were never abandoned by your parents and were a very happy child. When your power manifested, you accidentialy killed your parents. You ran into the X-Men and were taken under Jean Gray's wing. You died while escaping the PITs after having a fatal encounter with Paige Guthrie."
"P-Paige? She killed me?" Jubilee's blood ran cold.
"Cecilia Reyes. You were a founding member of the Wild Pack and later, a founding member of X-Factor. You were cold and a wonderful fighter. As Shockwave, you'd kill without a second thought. You died saving Cable and Domino from Apocalypse."
"Yvette. Sister to Monet. Codename: Razorblade. Emplate fed on you once to often and you died."
Penance looked down and shivered.
The image of a red,circled X apeared on the sceen.
"Now for your first mission." Cable rose and paced the room. "You are to go to the PITs and find this Mutant."
The screen blinked and a 3D image of a young man appeared. His brown hair was dangerously close to blocking his view. His leather jacket had one to many holes and became a leather vest. His eyes were full of pain. The bandages wrapped around his lower face were dirty and torn.
Monet could barly whisper out the name.
"Jonothon."
