EARTHBOUND
Earthbound is a very different RPG in the sense
that it takes place in 'modern' times. Most RPG's, as you probably
know, deal with ancient times, forcing you to wield sword, bows, leather
armor, etc...Well, Earthbound is like RPG's in the sense that you explore,
hack/slash, socialize, get equip, but it's all modern. Instead of
wielding a great sword, you wield a baseball bat, frying pan..Instead of
quaffing healing potions, you eat pizza, cookies, sandwiches and stuff
to regenerate hit points and mana/psi/spell/etc.
I kinda like the game personally. The graphic
leave a lot to be desired, but if
you only judge a game by great graphics, then
you are sad. The storyline revolves around a meteorite crash landing
on Earth, and then all kinds of weird stuff starts happening. Give
it a chance..Purty decent.
BTW, the combat scene background are just TRIPPED
OUT!!!
