'Where am I?'
'You are here.'
'Where is here?'
'Wherever you want it to be.'
He saw light
nothing but the flashes and flashes of bright
light. Then, all at once, the waves ceased.
Seeing something in the distance, he squinted his eyes. Catching
his breathe, he witnessed the most beautiful sight that he had
ever laid eyes on. An angel pranced delicately around threads and
threads of green rays. He could feel the holy aura surrounding
her
then his eyes became wide with recognition.
'It can't be
'
"Can't be what?" the girl approached him with short
strides. She stopped once within three feet of him.
The man shook. "This can't be real
"
Slightly smiling, Aeris stepped forward, as he quickly stepped
back.
"It is though
" she waved her arms around
her "this is real."
Shaking his head, he backed further and further away from her.
"No. It's impossible."
"Sephiroth, nothing is impossible in the Lifestream."
"The Lifestream?" He wore a confused expression. "Bu-but
I killed you
"
She sighed. "Yes you did. But I'm in the Lifestream now and
so are you."
A smug grin appeared across his face and he took two menacing
steps forward. "I killed you one and I'll kill you again."
To his surprise, she didn't move, but instead looked down. "Sephiroth,
do you even remember why you killed me?"
The question was not what he expected. Yet, thoughts rushed
through his mind as he realized that he did, in fact not remember
why this girl was a threat. Suddenly, he clutched the sides of
his head and pain
exploded throughout his mind.
He swooped down with grace and agility.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!!"
With a quick blow, he sent his sword through her body.
Aeris ran to his side in attempt to help him.
"NNNOO! Get away from me!!!" Sephiroth yelled and
pushed her to her knees.
The blond man ran forward and held his victim in his arms.
Aeris abruptly got up and laid her hand over his, which were
still over his head. Both hands glowed a tint of aqua green then
it disappeared
and so did his pain. Sephiroth looked up and
saw Aeris's concerned face.
"What did you do?" He asked with great uncertainty.
She lightly smiled. "I made the pain go away."
After a moment, he roughly pushed her away and leapt to his feet.
"Where are you going?!" She yelled as she saw him
retreat into the other direction.
He ignored her and continued on his way. Where? He had no idea.
ll of a sudden, a bright light glowed in front of him. A dark
figure approached him. Sephiroth narrowed his eyes and reached
for his sword. His mouth tightened as he realized that it was not
in his possession. Instead, he stood his ground.
A woman appeared before him. He felt that he knew her.
"Mother
"
She appeared in her mid thirties. Her eyes were kind, yet sad
no
not sad
uncertain.
At his words she halted.
"Yes Sephiroth. I 'am' your mother."
Pain began to throb within his head again. He shook his head
steadily. "No. You are not my mother."
The woman took small steps forward. "But I am."
Raising his voice, his eyes began to blaze. "NO! You ARE NOT
my mother!! Jenova is my mother"
"No she isn't!"
Sephiroth turned his head and saw Aeris yet again. Fully turning
his body, he approached her. "How dare you
" he
accused in a low voice.
"I'm not afraid of you Sephiroth."
This made him smile. "Well then. Maybe you should be."
He lunged forward.
