"Rufus how could you do this to us!!??" shouted
Kristin and she spat on his boots "YOU PIG YOU!!!"
"That is quite enough"shouted Rufus. "I want that
key and I want it now. Where is Gea?"
Rufus stepped up to Kristin, and jerked the chain that was
attached to her neck. Kristin fell to her knees and grimaced in
pain. "Even if I did know I wouldn't tell you!" Kristin
retorted with an acid like tounge.
Rufus walked closer to her and kicked her in the belly, making
Kristin's body shudder, and convulse. "Have it your way
honey." Rufus sneered.
Kristin began to worry about her daughter, when she remembered
one thing. "You can't lay a hand on her, and besides, some
warrior was with her, she beat the crap out of you stupid Turks."
Rufus was sipping a glass of white wine when he heard this and he
spat it all out. "WHAT!!??"
Rufus turned to the leader of the Turks standing in the corner of
the room "Tseng, is this true!!??"
Tseng nodded his head and frowned. "When we tried to get her
the first time that lady showed up, her name was...was...LACEY!!!
yeah that's it!" Tsung shouted.
Rufus's eyes widened at the same time Kristin's did. "Lacey!"
they both shouted. Rufus looked at Kristin questioningly.
"Oh my god, the crystal of course Lacey's my... my... SISTER!!!"
Kristin spoke to herself quietly so that Rufus would not hear,
but he did anyway.
Rufus ranted and paced the room yelling at Tsung and Kristin.
" I don't believe this, the little wench is back!! What is
she, a blood hound!!? And to make things even better she is your
SISTER!!!! Now she is definately gonna try to rescue you.. God a
bad guy just can't win around here!!!"
Krisin's eyes lighted up, Rufus would never get her daughter and........
"...No... that's right. Saber...er...um..I mean, Lacey doesn't
know!!!"
Kristin was dragged out of the room and thrown into a cold cell.
Kristin's body shook with fever and fear. She didn't think she
would make Rufuses beatings this time, and the cold was getting
to her. She bacame ill and lost hope. Would Lacey make it in time?
"Rufus!!??" Saber shouted. Gea began to fear, but
Saber hugged her close. "It's OK honey, I'm not gonna hurt
you."
Gea looked up and smiled.
Saber then realized that this girl trusted her and decided to
give back the notion. "Gea my pack name is Saber, but my
real name is Lacey."
Gea's eyes widened. "What is something wrong Gea?"
Lacey inquired.
"No, it's just that.... well... that was the name of my
mummy's sister, and they both grew up in Junion....."
Lacey's face turned blue, how could this be? Is this really her
niece sitting in her lap? But, needless to say Lacey found it to
be true, the red crystal said it all.Lacey wondered if she could
use her, and her sister's crystals, just like she used Sephiroth's.
Lets try.
Lacey loosened her grip on Gea and tried to visualize Kristen,
but she could not. "Oh, that's right, I can't see her if I
don't know where she is, plus I kinda forgot what she looks like......."
Lacey stopped and released her concentration. She would have to
find Kristin herself.
"Bye Gea, I am leaving now, take care!" shouted Lacey
into the hole. Gea hollered back, then Lacey sealed the hole in
the duct and lowered herself into the store. Then she closed the
grate leading to the air duct and was on her way.
"Hojo!" Rufus shouted for the scientist, and tramped
around until the man walked in.
"Yes sir?" Hojo replied.
Rufus spun around in his chair so that he faced Hojo. "Do
you still have those genetic samples from Saber Wolf?"
Hojo nodded his head, and took off his glasses to clean them.
"Yes sir we do, and I have some from Kristin too. Would you
like me to run the test?"
Rufus nodded his head and Hojo replaced his now clean glasses.
Hojo pressed a button on Refus's desk, and a small computer came
out of a crevice in the wall. Hojo spun to face the wall and
placed both genetic samples onto the computer's microscope. After
a few minutes of twisting and turning dials Hojo found what he
was looking for. He turned around to face Rufus.
"Sir it's an exact match. These two are definitely sisters
and actually twins at that." Hojo explained.
Rufus nodded, but thought in disgust. "How could this
weakling wife of mine be related to a warrior!?" Rufus
thought of a plan.
"Hojo, work on another of those mind eraser formulas. Except
now that you have time and data, fix it for Lacey's genetic codes,
and thoughts exactly. She will end up being mine, and I can
convince her to tell me where my....no soon it will be where our
daughter is...if this works.."
Hojo nodded his head and an evil grin slipped across his face.
Hojo turned to leave when Rufus piped up again. "Oh and we
can't forget to test both of them for Iris's calls. Remember we
are also looking for the wind goddesses apprentice, and either of
them could be it!" Rufus smirked again and laughed.
"Yes, sir of course, he we will get Saber Wolf yet!"
Hojo sneered and left the room, both Rufus and Hojo still
laughing.
