1) Violence in play. We all know that fighting is an almost essential part of the games we play so we allow it in channel. You can't always take it outside. This means characters can fight and kill each other in channel. Do it sparingly because the furniture is expensive and there are only so many ways to dispose of bodies. Now, as for incidental actions that effects characters not involved in said conflict (such as a stray punch or such). There are several ways to deal with this. One, the bad gamer will say no, it couldn't hit me because I said so, and proceed to bitch and moan and be annoying. A decent gamer may say Um, I'd rather that specific effect not happen, and either take it to the person and work out a solution and go on. A good Gamer will roll with it, take the effects just like real life and go with it and use it to their advantage. I leave it up to you to decide how you'd handle it.
2) Godling Characters. We understand that there are extremely powerful and advanced characters in all games. We won't stop you from using them, just be respectful and don't use them to over power the game. Play it fair and practical please. If not, well, we're not responsible for your bad time because no one wants to game with you.
3) Since we are a FFRP style channel, we don't use dice, and allow for actions and their results to work on the honor system. The style and substance of the gaming takes precedence over rules and dice. Please be flexible, and not toss around or bicker over specific rules. If there's a problem, ask an OP to impartially mediate and rule on the decision. If you continue to argue you run the risk of being kicked until you cool down.
4) Paradise Blues is a continuous gaming channel. This means role played actions take place in real time. No time outs for personal talks. Any talk or actions in channel are considered In Character. All Out Of Character (OOC) activities must be in ((parentheses)). Keep it short please. If you need to talk further, take it to message or the official side channel for OOC conversations, #PB_OOC.
5) Language Usage. Parental Discretion advised here. Simply put, we don't monitor or limit the language our players use closely. We will take action if we feel a person is abusing this freedom. Language is an essential part of the gaming because quite simply, it's real life. Don't bitch about it if it offends you please.
6) Official Management Stuff. Blues is a gaming channel and open to all gamers and systems. Any disruptions of gaming in channel or hassling of gamers in channel will be asked to knock it off and/or kick/banned if they keep it up.) Any abusing of Undernet/Internet resources is dealt with at zero tolerance, leading to an immediate kick and ban. Advertising another channel or anything in channel will not be tolerated, leading to first warning to stop and then kick/ban if they don't get it threw their thick skulls.
7) The World of Darkness setting we use in this channel includes people unaware of the supernatural beings and forces. These "Sleepers" constitute a serious danger to White Wolf style characters, if they discover or witness characters being or performing supernatural things. Please respect that even if you are not playing within this system, many of us are, and being in a physical or other form, doing magic and its like, and things like that, will hinder, hurt, and seriously endanger the characters who are in this system. Just keep your true nature hidden.
8) Blues has a setting based in a small fictional modern city in California, so please think about the repercussions of large visible and violent acts, such as blowing up buildings, having war-sized firefights, and nearly any large effect of magic. This setting is a shadowy dark reflection of the world we live in now. Do something large of action, and the FBI will hunt for you, camera crews will show up, and even worse other supernatural agencies will come for your head on a silver platter.
