My Tips for Advanced Drivers

Well, for all you advanced racers out there, these tips could be helpful, if you have any tips, please feel free to mail them to me and i'll post them ASAP.

Submitted by [email protected] There are lots of people saying the right way and the wrong way about how to drive around corners in GT. My advice is to do whatever works best for you! You have all probably figured out that the other cars in GT that your racing against slow down around the turns. You should turn into the corner on the inside of the other cars and let them bump you the right way. Sure it might not be the best way of driving but I think its the best way of racing, it doesn't matter how you get there, its who gets there first. Drive however you want, but bumping off the other cars around corners works awesome!

Submitted by Wiseguy, Ireland. I have found that in gran turismo often the best ways to take corners is not to brake before you reach the turn but instead to perfect your power slides, this involves a great deal of practice but after a while you'll find that it beats the other method to bits. I have often seen people on the web who call themselves experts writing garbage such as before you enter a turn brake hard and accelerate out of the turn, sure this is a good method for beginners but as you get more and more skilled you will find powersliding is the way to go. What i do is I give it full throttle right up to the point where im into the turn and i hug the border of the turn and then straighten up just as im 75% through the turn. I know im no master at the game but am quite accomplished as i have the game since it was released in japan as i have an imported playstation. I also have gold ratings on all the licence tests, so take it from me, powersliding is the way to go all the time!!
Submitted by (Koolkindaguy) ~ When you take off from a corner just before u have exited, let go of the steering direction on the control pad (works best with normal controllers or dual shock i dont have 1 ) and u should take off in a straight line. If u are understeering\oversteering u can either stop the usage of this method or perfect it, and im telling u it is a great way to get ahead of the computer and also if u understeer\oversteer, turn in the opposite direction u r heading so u turn away from the grass wall etc. and when on a course like grand valley speedway sometimes it is best to use your (TURBINE KIT 3) but only if u r using very powerful cars like the (Mitsubishi twin turbo GTO) it is better than any special cars being able to get it up to 941 ponies or higher in fine tuning.

~ When cornering, remember to brake before the corner and accelerate 60 % around the corner.
~ If you drive a 4WD, you can afford to take a corner sideways, especially if you own a tweaked vehicle with at least over 600 ponies !!!( I love going sideways !! )
~ Use walls and other cars to your advantage, even if it's a dirty cheat, they help a lot !!
~ If your using a Dual Shock pad, make sure to turn it on !! ( I have forgotten many times and smacked right into a wall. )I have also found that on some courses, the small thumb controllers are less effective than the normal controls.
