Howdy Folks, I suppose you've all be playing Gran Turismo 2 death. I have as well and I have come to this conclusion, I prefer the physics of the first over the sequel. The second is just like a car and track addon for me. They always say the original is better than the sequel. I just hope that the Playstation 2 version will have a lot more features and car detail. Then it will be worth it. I've also decided to take down my Gran Turismo 2 Web site and host everything from this Site.

My my, it has been awhile since I have updated this Web site. I've finally found some time again to update this site, so keep sending in your driving techniques and stuff. I'll post them when I get the time.

Today I recieved some vital information. Here is the E-mail ...

I have found an exclusive interview with the game's producer in The Edge magazine (this is sold in England only, to my knowledge.) Anyway, he says that the original game used 75% of the playstation's potential. GT2 will use the extra 25%. There are different classes of motorsort, namely production, GT, rally and sportscar; and the course are a mixture of circuit and rally-style point to point stages.
The finished game is expected to contain over FOUR HUNDRED CARS!!!!!!!! No news yet on official signings, but from the screenshots the magazine had, definitely in the game are a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V, Mercedes CLK-GTR, and, best of all, A MINI!!!!!!! Also ruomoured to be in the final game are Ferrari, Lambourghini, and Porsche. All the current cars are pretty much guaranteed to return.
All of this is collated from various sources, the biggest being the Edge magazine article, which carried actual screenshots from the game!!!!


Jan 26. Today i found out that Gran Turismo will be released on PC. It's still not 100% confirmed but the leads are strong... and yes, you will need a 3DFX card to play the game. Requirements will be high too.

Gran Turismo 2 is now scheduled fpr release in mid '99. Still no news on what cars will be in it but the project has started.
Still nothing solid for the release of Gran Turismo 2. No one is opening their mouths, but I think they will take peoples GT2 suggestions and incorporate them into the new game.
European Cars will be included in GT 2. The brand names ?? not really sure.. but i'm sure we'll say the smaller horsepower European makes like Opel, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, VW, Vauxhal.

It is rumored that once you get 50 million dollars in your account extra cars are available to you. I'd like to know if this is true.

Big dissapointment fellow drivers. The vette only lasted one day, when I turned the PlayStation back on, the Vette was gone ... and i'm telling you .. IT'S NOT FAIR.After many attempts of trying to get it back (and one memory card later) nothing ..Oh well ....

I got the 67 Vette in Gran Turismo mode !!! All i can tell you is that it was Day 684, i had 2,314 dollars in my account.. it must be a time delay mechanism in the game ..and when you modify it ..gearbox and stuff you can tweak it to about 750 ponies and give it 5 gears. oh the top speed ?? just a sluggish 455 Km/h .. (modified by me)
Still no more light on Gran Turismo. I'm starting to think that the release of GT2 in December is very far from true.
I have news people ..Gran Turismo 2 is scheduled to be released December this year in Japan, and early Feb in the U.S. I am speculative about these release dates because I think it's a little too soon to bring out a sequel to the best driving game out there !! Oh well .. lets see if Sony keeps it's word!!
Today I recieved an email from someone up in Mitsubishi ..There is still no news on the EVO VI but the launch will be BIG !! But there still is no firm news on it's release..

For all you Mitsubishi Lancer freaks out there  (like me), the EVO VI is to be released December/January. It's rumored that it blows everything away...including the Impreza ASP. Perhaps we will see it in Gran Turismo 2....... Who knows !!
