When Amelia arrived to village found the houses' doors closed and she was able feel the fear from the persons that observed her hidden behind the windows. Xelloss, smiling as ever, was near her with his closed eyes. He was able to seem everything apart dangerous or evil; but she remembered he was both.
Amelia spoke: "Don't worry, fair people, I'm not a mazoku! I came here to help you because I have known your condition from your fellow citizen."
Amelia waited. After some time an armed man opened a door near her. He glanced her frowned: "Who are you and why do you want helping the village? These are not your affairs!"
Amelia soothed him: "I don't need to be paid. I want help the village because I like giving a hand to the people in difficult situations. I'm Amelia Wil Tesla Saylun, justice paladin!"
Her comment eased the man and with kind voice: "Listen, my child! You are very brave but you can't�" The man had not the time to finish because some demons attacked the village.
The men went out ready to fight but Amelia shouted Ra-Tilt destroying every present demon then she turned towards the first man and smiled: "What was you saying?"
He wasn't able to help to smile: "I correct myself. You can help us but who is the man near you." Amelia looked Xelloss; Xelloss looked Amelia. She thought it's better if I tell a lie. I can't say he's the general-priest of greater beast. Funny! It's not an important thing to know in my group but I'm the only person that knows that.
Xelloss, in the while, answered with a half bow: "I'm Xelloss, priest of a secret cult but you can trust me. Can I know your name, sir?"
Amelia suppressed the impulse to giggle he said almost the same things when he presented to us. The man, with proud air: "I'm Loris Ganmaer, son of the village's head and I'm pleased to make your acquaintance."
They answered together: "I'm happy, too!"
Loris looked them surprised then offered them his home to rest and eat something while he explained better the problem.
"Our problems started some days ago when the mazoku attacked for the first time. I don't know what they want. The legends speak of a powerful magical artefact hidden under the village but I hope we aren't going in this hell for a legend. Many men, women and children are dead and the survivals have abandoned the village or they are trying to defend it."
Amelia listened with attention: "Don't you know the true attack's cause?"
The man shook his head.
She sighed: "Well! Where are they, now?"
"The demons? They are in the black tower. It's inhabited and not only of demons! There are ghosts and evil spirits. You are sure do you want go there?" He was afraid.
She nodded and stood up growling weakly. Every village has a black tower with the ghosts. When I was younger I visited many to free them in name of justice and the ninety-nine per cent were full of insects and small mammals. The rest had a weak helpless ghost. Well, I'm sure the demons have chase away the preceding occupants.
Absorbed in her thoughts she directed towards the tower followed by Xelloss that greeted hastily the man. Loris thought I hope to haven't you sent to certain dead! Good luck.
Amelia stopped in front of the tower: "It seems a little dark, Xelloss".
He smiled: "Amelia, it's better if you don't go in."
"Why?"
"Sore wa himitsu des"
"It's not a good motif. But I would go in if you had a good motif, too because I've promised them to help. And a justice paladin keeps ever her promises!"
He sighed and sweatdroped I've looked for it, this time.
She tried to open the door without success. She firebolled the door that didn't exist anymore then she started to explore while Xelloss complained: "Amelia-chan! You've remained too much time with Lina-chan!" She elbowed him and continued to walk.
A male voice echoed abruptly in the tower: "Two brave persons that dare challenge me. Very interesting. Have you been sent here from the village people? Is it your fault if my servants aren't come back? If it's so, you are very powerful."
Amelia shrugged and didn't answer to question while tried to find the source of voice.
Xelloss was more interested to observe her than to give his attention at the demon. It pouted: "Well! My little lady, don't search me anymore." Amelia disappeared and Xelloss phased out.
Amelia found herself in a well-furnished room. In front of her, there was a set table. In a chair she saw a young gorgeous man with green hairs and yellow eyes. She giggled the demons loved strange colours.
The mazoku gave a little smile: "Sit down, my little lady!
Amelia raged:" I'm not little and overall I'm not YOURS!"
"Let will see!
